100 Miles, Two Generations, One Big Goal 🏃‍♂️❤️

Hi everyone! I’m Jayden, I’m 16, and together with my 37-year-old dad, we’re taking on a challenge this October for Young Lives vs Cancer.

Our goal is to run 3.2 miles every day throughout October, adding up to 100 miles in total.

Now, I’m not going to lie… I’m feeling pretty confident about this. I’m reasonably fit, so 3.2 miles a day doesn’t sound too scary to me.

My dad, on the other hand… let’s just say he has a slightly different relationship with running. 😂

I’m expecting to be running alongside him, while he’s questioning every decision that led him to agree to this challenge. There may be some heavy breathing, questionable running form and quite possibly a few complaints along the way!

But one thing I know for sure is that we will not give up.

We’re doing this together because Young Lives vs Cancer supports young people and their families through some of the toughest experiences they can face. We want to help raise money and awareness so that young people affected by cancer can get the support they need.

For us, it’s not just about running 100 miles. It’s about pushing ourselves, staying determined and proving that even when something feels difficult, you can keep putting one foot in front of the other.

So throughout October, you’ll probably see plenty of updates from us — including how many miles we’ve done, how tired we are, and how much my dad is regretting letting his 16-year-old son talk him into this! 😂
