Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today.

  • £15 could go towards a grant to cover travel costs for long journeys to live saving treatment
  • £26 could pay for an hour with a Young Lives vs Cancer Specialist Social Worker. They help families understand and cope with the emotional, practical and financial effects of cancer.
  • £70 could pay for a night in a Young Lives vs Cancer Homes from Home, a free place for families to stay close to specialist hospitals when their child is going through treatment, keeping families together

Miles on holiday

Tuesday 12th Aug
Really proud of marty continuing his 1 mile every day every day at home but even more proud he's done it when we've been away with a busy itinerary. He has been determined to get it done.

Day 11 photo

Tuesday 12th Aug

Day 5

Wednesday 6th Aug
Marty's been working hard and completing his mile a day. We experimented with an evening run which then led to multiple hypos. 😫 But it didn't dampen Marty's determination. Well done Marty.

Day 3

Sunday 3rd Aug
Marty found today's mile hard because he took his scooter but then discovered the route was not flat enough to use the scooter. So he had to carry around the mile.

But he is very happy he hit his £100 funding target on day 3 and is very grateful to his family and friends for supporting this great cause.

Day 1 and Day 2

Saturday 2nd Aug
Day 1 Marty completed his first mile of the challenge with his dad and sister Eve. A little eventful as Eve fell and cut her knee and hands, but they all kept going. Well done team.

Day 2 Marty completed his 1 mile whilst on a walk with his grandparents.
