Walk 60 Miles in November 2026

My target 60 mi

I’m walking 60 Miles in November for Young Lives vs Cancer.

I’ll be walking 60 Miles in November, from the 1st to the 30th, to help raise vital funds for children and young people with cancer.

Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. With practical and emotional support. With someone always there. A social worker that gets it.
With places to stay near hospitals. With campaigning to make health, welfare and social care work better. To champion, to problem solve and bring about change.

Every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today.

Just a £26 donation could fund an hour of support from a Young Lives vs Cancer specialist social worker, ensuring children, young people and families always have someone by their side throughout their cancer journey.

Thank you for your support.

My Updates

This November, I’ll be taking part in Young Lives vs Cancer, and I’d love your support.

Sunday 1st Nov

This November, I’ll be taking part in Young Lives vs Cancer, and I’d love your support.

I’ve always been someone who is happy to contribute to a good cause, particularly those that resonate with me personally and hit close to home. However, I’ve never really been one to actively ask others to get behind the causes I feel passionate about. This one, though, is different.

Cancer has impacted my life in more ways than I could ever have imagined.

I lost my father to bowel cancer after watching him fight the disease for an entire year. Seeing first-hand the physical, emotional and financial toll it took on him and our family was incredibly difficult. During that time, while starting my career in media and marketing, I took on an additional job in the evenings and at weekends to help ease the financial pressure on my family. As the eldest child, I felt a real responsibility to do what I could.

Years later, I found myself facing a cancer diagnosis of my own: Hodgkin lymphoma. Once again, I experienced the uncertainty and financial pressures that come with cancer, this time alongside my wife.

Thankfully, Mediasense made sure that both my family and I were supported throughout my chemotherapy treatment, allowing us to focus on what mattered most: getting through it. I’m incredibly grateful for that support, and fortunate to now be in remission.

But I know that not everyone is as fortunate to have that level of support around them.

For young people facing cancer, the challenges can be even more overwhelming. Their lives, ambitions, education, relationships and families can all be turned upside down in an instant. That’s why the work Young Lives vs Cancer does is so important.

The charity helps young people and their families navigate one of the toughest periods of their lives, including the practical and financial challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis.

Having experienced the impact of cancer from both sides, as a family member and as a patient, I know just how much the right support can mean. If taking part and raising money can help make life even a little easier for someone going through what I have experienced, then it’s something I wholeheartedly want to do.

I’ll be doing everything I can to reach my fundraising target, and this is where I’d love you to join me.

Any donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference. If you’re able to contribute, I’d be hugely grateful. Together, we can help Young Lives vs Cancer support more young people and families when they need it most.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can give. ❤️
