We're taking on the Kid's Summer Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer.

Want to join us in supporting a good cause? We're taking on the Kid's Summer Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate £5 or £500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.

Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today. 

  • £15 could go towards a grant to cover travel costs for long journeys to live saving treatment 
  • £26 could pay for an hour with a Young Lives vs Cancer Specialist Social Worker. They help families understand and cope with the emotional, practical and financial effects of cancer. 
  • £70 could pay for a night in a Young Lives vs Cancer Homes from Home, a free place for families to stay close to specialist hospitals when their child is going through treatment, keeping families together

Day 31

Sunday 31st Aug
We finished our final day in style with a trip to Cardiff for a walk around the museum and lunch and then squishmallow shopping to celebrate her final walk.

Saturday 30th Aug
Todays mile was a 45 minute swimming lesson, after 4 weeks off for the summer break. We have had a few more donations making it an incredible £682 raised so far

Day 29

Friday 29th Aug
Todays photo challenge for the charity walk is Heroes. Grace has chosen to complete today's 2 miles with her hero and best friend Gabriella who was diagnosed with Leukemia and is now in remission. In December 2020 Gabriella was diagnosed with Cancer at just 3 years old, she was very poorly. Grace being the kind and caring child that we all know and love was been partnered with Gabriella to make sure she wasnt alone whilst in nursery together. The fact Gabriella had cancer stuck with her and affected her deeply. In July 2024 we saw an advert for a challenge to walk a mile a day throughout August to raise money for Young lives vs Cancer after talking with her about what they do and what money is for. She said wow helping more children like Gabi let's do it. Last year she walked 46 miles and raised £300. This year she decided to double her efforts to help more children affected by this awful disease. She has walked 64 miles and raised £640 so far this year with 2 days left to go. Over the past 2 years of taking part she has walked 110 miles and raised a grand total of £940 Our daughter has the biggest heart and wants to do so much good in this world and makes us proud everyday

Thursday 28th Aug
Trip to town to complete the final 2 miles of her challenge. She will be walking the rest of the month

Quick 1.5 miles today to the local shops and a community fayre.

SHE DID IT !!!!! 

We want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone single person that has sponsored Grace and helped us meet her goal of an incredible £610 !! 
The kindness everyone has shown us has blown us away. We are truly greatful and we are so proud of Grace and everything shes achieved. 

We have 7 days of walking left to do and will hopefully reach her target walking target in the coming days. 

Thanks again to you all, we couldnt of done it without you all.

Monday 25th Aug
Another 2 miles completed making a total of 57 in total. We had to stop to celebrate her achievements so far

Sunday 24th Aug
Small 1.5 miles today as we did a large walk yesterday.

Day 23

Saturday 23rd Aug
A day with family to a local nation trust house and a walk around the grounds. 3.5 miles walked today xx

Day 21

Thursday 21st Aug
Lovely sunny walk today. Managed to walk 3.5 miles making it 47.5 miles in total

Day 20

Wednesday 20th Aug
Day with Nanny today and walked a mile with her cousins.

Day 19

Tuesday 19th Aug
Another 2 miles completed today making it 43 in total with 12 days to go

Day 18

Monday 18th Aug
2 miles walked today and we came across this amazing sign. Now clocked up 41 miles

Day 17

Monday 18th Aug
All smiles today as we walked to her friends for a pool afternoon. 1.5 miles walked making it to 39 miles.

Day 16

Saturday 16th Aug
Another mile ticked off with a trip to the shops and helping mummy and daddy carry the shopping.

Day 15

Friday 15th Aug
Another 2 miles completed wearing stripes for the challenge. 36 miles completed in total 🙌 👌

Day 14

Thursday 14th Aug
Half a mile walked and 2 hours of soft play making it atleast 1 mile done today.

I would like to take some time to congradulate Grace on her hard work and thank everyone for their support over the last 2 weeks. 
Grace has walked 33 miles in the last 13 days and raised an amazing £468. 

We are unbelievably Proud of Grace for what shes achieved and how dedicated she is to this amazing cause. 

We will be continuing to walk for the rest of the month and aiming for atleast 62 miles. 

We will be celebrating getting passed the half way point with a well deserved soft play session, running around for 2 hours is surely worth adding a mile to the tally.

Another 2 miles completed with a total of 33 miles completed 🙌 👌 👍

Tuesday 12th Aug
Wow it was a hot one today. However we managed to walk another 2 miles and reaching the 31 mile point. Grace celebrated with a well deserved minecraft ice cream.

Monday 11th Aug
Another 3.5 miles completed today. 29 miles completed so far 🙌 👌

Day 10

Sunday 10th Aug
Another 2.5 miles walked today. Her total walk stands at 25 miles. Only another 6 to go to get to 31 miles. We even stopped at a local landmark.

Day 9

Saturday 9th Aug
Another 3 miles and an hours swimming done this afternoon.

Day 8

Friday 8th Aug
2 and half mile walk today making it to 19.5 miles in 8 days

Day 7

Thursday 7th Aug
Grace has walked another mile today making it a total of 17 miles in just 7 days. She has also raised an impressive £438. Well Done Gracie May we are very proud of you xxx

Massive Thank you

Wednesday 6th Aug
I want to start by saying a massive thank you to everyone for the support and donations. We are absolutely blown away by your generosity. 

She has smashed through her fundraising targets of £200 and £400 target in the last few days. 

She has asked if we can try and get £600 doubling last year's total of £300. 

Grace has promised to double her walking target to a massive 62 MILES in exchange. 

Please help Grace meet her final target if you can.
