I'm taking on the Cycle 300km for Young Lives vs Cancer.

I'm taking on the Cycle 300km Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer in August.
Join me in supporting a good cause and your contribution will make a big impact to children and young people with cancer.

Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today.

  • £18 could go toward powering a Home from Home for a day, ensuring families have the light and comfort they need.
  • £26 could pay for an hour with a Young Lives vs Cancer Specialist Social Worker. They help families understand and cope with the emotional, practical and financial effects of cancer.
  • £70 could pay for a night in a Young Lives vs Cancer Homes from Home, a free place for families to stay close to specialist hospitals when their child is going through treatment, keeping families together.

My Updates

26/08/25

Tuesday 26th Aug
We are still getting through the miles. We are a little bit behind due to my work load however we have still been getting some miles in. We do have a fair amount of work to do before the end of the month but we will get there. Really proud of what Oliver is achieving especially after being at work with me all day most days. If anyone can help in anyways it would be amazing. Also thanks for all the support so far.

Progress 20-08-25

Wednesday 20th Aug
Just a quick update. Oliver has been doing fantastic on his fundraising bike ride. We had fallen behind due to my work and day to day life. Oliver made fantastic progress on sunday covering 18 miles riding to various places in the newforest. Oliver has struggled over the last few days and said he's tired but when he has been reminded of the reasons why he started this he has carried on with out complaint.

Oliver and myself

Monday 4th Aug
Oliver and myself have arrived at day 4 of this challenge.

We have been doing well.

However we are a little bit behind the distance we should be at.

Oliver loves his bike but he has to push himself to do the distance required each day.
Roughly 6 miles a day for an adult is alot let alone a 7 year old.

We are committed and we will be getting some miles in over the coming week.

Thank you to my Sponsors
