- £15 could go towards a grant to cover travel costs for long journeys to live saving treatment
- £26 could pay for an hour with a Young Lives vs Cancer Specialist Social Worker. They help families understand and cope with the emotional, practical and financial effects of cancer.
- £70 could pay for a night in a Young Lives vs Cancer Homes from Home, a free place for families to stay close to specialist hospitals when their child is going through treatment, keeping families together

Day 31
Sunday 31st Aug 50 miles completed after completing his last mile with Dad!!!
Day 30
Sunday 31st Aug Today Leighton took part in a local football tournament - we're not going to count miles we estimated he completed.
Day 28
Sunday 31st Aug 4 miles completed with Dad this evening - in the rain!
Day 27
Sunday 31st Aug After all the walking yesterday, I only allowed the child to complete a short walk - 1 mile completed to take our total to 43 miles! Share

Sunday 31st Aug Today we took Leighton to London for the first time, and we walked a whopping 9 miles seeing the sights!

Monday 25th Aug I dragged the child to the shops today - managed to get his mile completed though :D Share

Monday 25th Aug Our miles today were completed at Uffington Show whilst we ambled round the attractions :) Share
Day 23
Monday 25th Aug And ge's back with a bang...5 miles complete, bringing him to 30 miles in total - with more than a week left Leighton now wants to see how many miles he can achieve between now and the end of the month! Share
Day 22
Monday 25th Aug We gave the boy a day off today - he's done really well but a week of sports club and later nights, he's a bit shattered, so rest and early night and back at it tomorrow. Share
Day 20
Wednesday 20th Aug Lots of walking gas been done today! 2 miles walking home from holiday and then another mile with Dad completing Beavers 60 days of summer challenges. Share
Day 17, 18 and 19!
Wednesday 20th Aug We've had a super busy few days so not had a chance to add a post until now - Leighton has been keeping up with his walking and has completed 22 miles so far!
Day 16
Saturday 16th Aug Today we went for a local circular walk to complete our mile, stopping off to complete the obstacle courses on the way.

Saturday 16th Aug Posting a day late as I forgot to post this yesterday...oops!
Day 14 - walking home from holiday club
Thursday 14th Aug Today we got back out walking and put another 2 miles in the bag.... Share
Day 12 & Day 13
Thursday 14th Aug We took a break from walking out on Tuesday and Wednesday due to the high temperature and Leighton was ahead of his target - back on it again tomorrow 🙃. Share

Monday 11th Aug Today we did a quick mile walk before dinner-time.
Day 10 - a mile round the common
Monday 11th Aug Today Leighton was dragged round Ikea - we're pretty sure he walked over a mile there, but to be on the safe side, we stopped off at a park/common on the way home for a wander in the sunshine, and an opportunity to climb some trees! Share
Day 9 - It's all about Football
Saturday 9th Aug The child went to football with Dad this afternoon., and they walked from a friend's house to the stadium and back again totalling 0.8 miles.
Day 8 - walk from holiday club home
Friday 8th Aug Today is International Cat day, and our theme if the day for our walk was cats. We saw 2.
Day 7 - Park Life
Friday 8th Aug Today Leighton spent the day with his Granny and Grandpa.
Day 6 - a walk in the woods
Wednesday 6th Aug Leighton was at his Nain & Taid's today - for non Welsh folk, that's his grandparents!
Day 5 - Football Camp
Wednesday 6th Aug No official mile today as little dude went to Football Camp, and probably ran more than a mile across the day. But...as we're on mile 8 and it's Day 5, we're not going to count it.
Day 4 - Walk to town doing errands
Monday 4th Aug Today we walked into town and back to pick up a cake and a balloon for Taid's birthday (Happy Birthday Taid!).
Day 2 - in the bag
Saturday 2nd Aug Day 2 challenge done. Pete took Leighton out for a walk to the Rugby/Football club for a kick about with the football.
Day 1 - And he's off!
