Day 14 - walking home from holiday club

Thursday 14th Aug
Today we got back out walking and put another 2 miles in the bag....

Day 12 & Day 13

Thursday 14th Aug
We took a break from walking out on Tuesday and Wednesday due to the high temperature and Leighton was ahead of his target - back on it again tomorrow 🙃.

Day 11

Monday 11th Aug
Today we did a quick mile walk before dinner-time.
Our theme today was street signs and we saw 7 different examples on the way.
Obstacle courses and curb balancing was also on the agenda!

Day 10 - a mile round the common

Monday 11th Aug
Today Leighton was dragged round Ikea - we're pretty sure he walked over a mile there, but to be on the safe side, we stopped off at a park/common on the way home for a wander in the sunshine, and an opportunity to climb some trees!

Day 9 - It's all about Football

Saturday 9th Aug
The child went to football with Dad this afternoon., and they walked from a friend's house to the stadium and back again totalling 0.8 miles.
For the other 0.2 miles, Leighton chose to run 11 laps of our garden after doing some football practice!

Day 8 - walk from holiday club home

Friday 8th Aug
Today is International Cat day, and our theme if the day for our walk was cats. We saw 2.
1.2 miles completed - photos to follow.

Day 7 - Park Life

Friday 8th Aug
Today Leighton spent the day with his Granny and Grandpa.
They did 1.62 miles walking to their local park and back, putting another mole in the bag!

Day 6 - a walk in the woods

Wednesday 6th Aug
Leighton was at his Nain & Taid's today - for non Welsh folk, that's his grandparents!
Nain doesn't have Stravia on her phone, but she managed to take a photo of their walk in the woods - I'm impressed with Nain for working out how to use the camera (lol!), and with Leighton who managed to blend in with the background!
Photo to follow.

Day 5 - Football Camp

Wednesday 6th Aug
No official mile today as little dude went to Football Camp, and probably ran more than a mile across the day. But...as we're on mile 8 and it's Day 5, we're not going to  count it.
Back to it tomorrow

Day 4 - Walk to town doing errands

Monday 4th Aug
Today we walked into town and back to pick up a cake and a balloon for Taid's birthday (Happy Birthday Taid!).
Our theme today was flowers.
We also managed to check off another Beavers 60 Days of Summer badge challenge: go for a walk in the rain.

Day 3 - Country Walk

Sunday 3rd Aug
Smashed Day 3, with a family walk in the countryside.

Day 2 - in the bag

Saturday 2nd Aug
Day 2 challenge done. Pete took Leighton out for a walk to the Rugby/Football club for a kick about with the football.
1.2 miles completed...a mixture of walking and dribbling the ball.
Day 2 theme is cloud. There's plenty today.

Day 1 - And he's off!

Friday 1st Aug
First mile done. Unfortunately no data, as he had my phone doing some geocashing for Beavers at the same time!
Today's theme was to wear pink. We don't have much pink in our house, but I did manage to pin a pink pom-pom keyring on his rucksack (he claimed it was a mini football!)
Photos to follow...
