111 miles total and thank you & whats next for me

Sunday 25th May
111 Miles for Young Lives – Thank You & What’s Next 💜

I just wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported and donated to my 100 Miles in May challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer. Your encouragement, messages, and generosity have meant the world to me.

I’ve just logged my miles – and I’m proud (and a little bit shocked!) to say I’ve completed a total of 111 miles. There were days I pushed through with 8 miles in a single day, and while it’s been tough at times, it’s also been incredibly rewarding.

Now, it’s time to let my body rest and recover, so I’ll be slowing down the miles a bit. But the mission doesn’t stop here. This fight is far from over.

I’ll be back at it again in June, walking 60 miles for Pancreatic Cancer, a cause that’s also close to my heart.

Please, if you haven’t already, keep donating. Your support has a massive impact – not just on me, but on the lives of young people and families going through the unimaginable. Every mile is for them. Every donation brings hope.

A prayer for the journey
Dear Lord, thank You for the strength You’ve given me to walk each mile. I pray for every child and family facing cancer – may they feel Your comfort and healing. Please bless everyone who’s supported this journey. Let these miles make a difference, and may love lead the way. Amen.

Together, we are stronger. Together, we make a difference.
With love and gratitude,
Cyra 💜

Thank you to everyone who’s supported me so far — your encouragement has meant the world.

Help me hit my goal

Saturday 17th May

I’m suiting up as Mrs. Incredible but the real superheroes are the young people and families facing cancer every day.

I’m raising money for Young Lives vs Cancer, a charity that supports children and young people with cancer and their families. They provide essential help when it’s needed most from emotional support and financial aid to making sure parents can stay close during treatment.

But here’s the deal:

🎯 I’ve set myself a goal, and I won’t slip into the red spandex until we hit it!

Your donation will help real families going through the toughest times and once we reach that target, I’ll honour my promise, zip up the suit, and fully become Mrs. Incredible for the day (yes, in public!).

Because while I might be dressing like a superhero, these kids and families are the real deal.

💥 Be Incredible – Donate for a Great Cause! 💥

Friday 16th May

🎉💥 I’m going FULL Incredible for a cause that truly matters! 💥🎉

Yes, you heard right—I’m suiting up as Mrs. Incredible to take on a real-life challenge, all to raise funds for [insert cause or charity name here].

I’m doing this not just to turn heads in spandex (though… let’s be real 👀), but to make a real difference. Every donation, big or small, helps [insert specific impact or goal].

Help me stretch my goal just like Elastigirl would! 💪❤️

Cyra’s 100-Mile Challenge for Kids Battling Cancer

Friday 16th May
This summer, I’m trading my comfy slippers for sneakers and maybe a superhero cape for a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart. I’m taking on a 100-mile challenge this may to raise funds and awareness for children battling cancer. Every step I take is a step toward hope, healing, and brighter days for these brave young fighters.

Why 100 miles? Because every mile represents resilience. Kids with cancer endure months sometimes years of tough treatments, hospital stays, and unimaginable challenges. The least I can do is show up for them with determination and heart.

And to make things a little more fun (and unforgettable), I’ll be doing this dressed as Mrs. Incredible yes, the stretchy, sassy superhero mom from The Incredibles! Because superheroes come in all shapes, sizes, and costumes and the real heroes are the kids we’re doing this for.

Here’s How You Can Help:
 1. Donate: Every pound, dollar, or coin helps. Your support goes directly toward vital care, emotional support, and resources for children and their families navigating the toughest fight of their lives.

 2. Share: Spread the word! Share my challenge with friends, family, coworkers, and even that neighbor with the really fast dog. The more people who know, the more impact we can make.

 3. Cheer Me On: Trust me, 10 miles is no small feat (especially in superhero spandex). Your encouragement means the world.

This isn’t just a fitness challenge it’s a mission of love, strength, and community. Together, we can help kids with cancer feel seen, supported, and never alone.

Let’s do something incredible one mile at a time. 💛

10 miles in Mrs incredible shoes lets make every step count

Friday 16th May
If I reach my fundraising goal, I’ll walk the next 10 miles dressed as Mrs. Incredible — cape, curves, and plenty of dramatic strutting!

Why? Because the real superheroes are the kids and families supported by Young Lives vs Cancer. They face battles every single day that are far greater than anything I’ll experience on this walk. My mission is simple: walk 10 miles, sweat through spandex, and raise critical funds to help provide these families with the support they need.

These kids inspire me, and I’m doing this for them. Walking 100 miles is a challenge this may, but it’s nothing compared to the strength and courage of these young warriors. Your donation can make a tangible difference in their lives, offering everything from financial assistance to emotional support during their toughest moments.

So, if you’ve ever wanted to see me rock a superhero costume  all while walking for a cause that matters so deeply  this is the time. It’ll be fun, it’ll be a little awkward, but most importantly, it will help change lives.

Donate, share, and help me walk these next 10 miles in Mrs. Incredible style  for the kids, for the cause, and with all my heart.

How I’m Going to Make the Most of These Next 16 Days
100 Miles for Young Lives vs Cancer

For the next 16 days, I’m walking with purpose. 100 miles to support Young Lives vs Cancer—one step at a time, for children and families facing the toughest battles of their lives.

Here’s how I’m going to make it count:

👟 Walk Every Day
No matter the weather or how tired I feel—I’ll be out there walking. Because children with cancer don’t get to pause their fight, and I won’t pause mine.

❤️ Walk With Meaning
Each mile will be in honour of a child or family affected by cancer. I’ll carry their stories in my heart and let their strength fuel my steps.

🎯 Stick to the Plan
100 miles = just over 6 miles a day. Whether it’s all in one go or split into short walks, I’ll get it done—day by day, step by step.

📣 Raise Voices, Not Just Funds
I’ll share my journey daily—not just to raise money, but to raise awareness. Young Lives vs Cancer is there when families need them most, and more people need to know that.

💥 Wear the Cape
Yes, I’ll be doing this dressed as Mrs. Incredible—because every child fighting cancer is a hero. I’ll wear the red with pride, turning heads and sparking conversations along the way.

Let’s walk for strength, for support, and for young lives that deserve a fighting chance.

One Journey. One Cause. One Fight Against Cancer.

Thursday 15th May

Every step I take is for the fighters, the survivors, and those we’ve lost. I’m joining the fight to raise awareness, fund research, and bring hope.

Together, we can make a difference. Join me in this mission—because no one fights alone.

Thursday 15th May
Halfway there—50 miles done!
I’m officially halfway through my #100MilesInMay challenge for @younglivesvscancer! It’s been tough, but every mile is for an amazing cause—supporting young people and their families through cancer.

I’ve walked, pushed through the tough days, and stayed focused on the reason behind every mile. Thank you to everyone who’s supported me—you’ve helped make a real difference.

Let’s keep going—50 more to go!

Miles to Go, but Motivated

Tuesday 13th May
I’ve been walking my way through the 100-mile challenge — with some lovely miles done near the beach, taking in the sea air and peaceful views. Some days are easier than others, but every step is for an incredible cause.

Huge thanks to everyone who’s donated so far — your support is making a real difference for young people and families facing cancer.

Still a few miles to go, but getting closer every day! If you’d like to support, there’s still time to donate.

Let’s keep walking — for young lives.

A Prayer for the 100-Mile Journey

Saturday 10th May
God of strength and compassion,
As we take on this 100-mile challenge,
We walk, run, or ride not just with our bodies, but with our hearts.
We carry with us the names, the faces, the stories
of children and families facing cancer with courage beyond words.

Bless every step taken, every mile covered,
with purpose, hope, and love.
Give strength to the weary, peace to the anxious,
and healing to those who suffer.

May this journey bring light to the darkness,
funds for the fight,
and a message that no one walks this road alone.
Be with the participants, the supporters, the survivors, and the fighters
now and always.

Amen.

Miles to Go, but Motivated

Saturday 10th May
As I get closer to the 100-mile mark, I’m feeling more determined than ever. If you’ve donated already, thank you. Your support fuels every mile. If you haven’t yet and want to get involved, it’s never too late. Share, support, walk with me, or just cheer me on every bit helps.

Let’s make sure no young person faces cancer alone.

Why It Matters

Saturday 10th May
Young Lives vs Cancer offers vital support to young people when they’re facing the toughest fight of their lives. From helping families find places to stay near treatment centres, to offering emotional and financial support, their work makes a real difference. That’s why I’m proud to put one foot in front of the other for them

The Highs and Lows

Saturday 10th May
Not every walk has been easy. Some days, my legs ache and motivation dips, especially when it’s raining or I’ve had a long day. But then I think about what kids with cancer go through the hospital visits, the treatments, the uncertainty and suddenly my tired feet don’t seem like such a big deal.

On the flip side, I’ve discovered new routes, listened to some brilliant podcasts, and even had a few friends join me along the way. It’s reminded me how powerful a community can be, especially when we rally around something important.

Getting started

Saturday 10th May
The first few days were exciting. I was full of energy, lacing up my trainers with purpose and heading out, no matter the weather. Whether it was early morning sunshine or a bit of drizzle, I reminded myself: every mile matters. Every mile helps raise awareness and funds for an incredible cause.

I'm walking 100 miles for Young Lives vs Cancer.

Saturday 10th May
When I first signed up to walk 100 miles in support of Young Lives vs Cancer, I knew it would be a challenge but I also knew why I was doing it. Every step I take is for the children and young people fighting cancer, and for the families standing beside them. They deserve support, strength, and hope. That’s what keeps me moving.

This first week

Thursday 8th May
Feeling proud taking part in this 100 miles knowing that the money that gets raised makes a difference in the lives of children and their family's.
