I’m taking on 100 Miles this March for Young Lives vs Cancer.
I’ll be completing 100 miles between 1st and 31st March to help raise vital funds for children and young people with cancer.
Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today.
Just a £26 donation could fund an hour of support from a Young Lives vs Cancer specialist social worker ensuring children, young people and families always have someone by their side throughout their cancer journey.Thank you for your support.

My Updates
🚶♂️😂 1st March – Pray for My Feet
Saturday 28th FebThis Sunday I officially start my 100 Mile Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer 💛
That’s right. 100 miles. One hundred. As in… why did I think this was a good idea?
This weekend is the final bit of “practice” — which mainly involves convincing my legs they actually signed up for this. Blisters pending. Complaints already filed.
Massive thank you to everyone who has donated so far — you’re absolute legends. Your support genuinely means the world (and will definitely keep me moving when I question all my life choices around mile 37).
If you fancy cheering me on, donating, or just sending motivational memes — I’ll take it all 🙌
Right… see you on the other side. Probably walking very slowly.

100 Miles in March – Because Apparently I Like Sore Legs
Saturday 21st FebThis March, I’ve decided to do something slightly mad: 100 miles in 31 days.
That’s a lot of miles.
That’s a lot of trainers.
That’s… a lot of complaining about my legs.
But it’s for a reason that matters.
Over the past year, I’ve been on my own journey with weight loss and getting fitter. Somewhere along the way, I discovered that I actually like exercise (who am I?). I’ve found strength I didn’t know I had — physically and mentally — and I wanted to put that to good use.
So instead of just clocking up miles for myself, I’ll be clocking them up for Young Lives vs Cancer — an incredible charity that supports children and young people facing cancer, and the families walking that journey with them.
While working at Essa, I’ve cared for two children undergoing cancer treatment. One of them is still bravely battling this disease. I’ve also known others directly affected by childhood cancer. When you see it up close, it stops being “something sad on the news” and becomes very real, very quickly.
And if those young people can show up every single day to face treatment with courage, then I can absolutely show up for 100 miles (even if I do it with blisters and dramatic sighing).
Childhood cancer doesn’t just impact health — it impacts everything. Family life, education, finances, mental wellbeing. Young Lives vs Cancer provides practical, emotional and financial support when families need it most. They help hold things together when everything feels like it’s falling apart.
I don’t have a set fundraising target. This isn’t about chasing a number — it’s about doing what I can. The more I can raise for such a worthwhile cause, the prouder I’ll be. Every single donation, no matter how small, genuinely adds up and helps families who are going through the unimaginable.
So please, if you can, sponsor me.
I’ll be thinking of some incredibly brave young people with every mile — especially on the days when I question why I thought this was a good idea.
Thank you for reading.
Thank you for supporting.
And thank you for helping me turn slightly aching legs into something meaningful. 💛
