I'm taking on the Cycle 310.68 Miles (500 km) for Young Lives vs Cancer.

Paying it forward for the incredible support my family and grandson received in his hour of need. This one is for you George,5 years on and going strong. Pops loves you ❤️

Join me in supporting a good cause and your contribution will make a big impact to children and young people with cancer.

Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today.

  • £18 could go toward powering a Home from Home for a day, ensuring families have the light and comfort they need.
  • £26 could pay for an hour with a Young Lives vs Cancer Specialist Social Worker. They help families understand and cope with the emotional, practical and financial effects of cancer.
  • £70 could pay for a night in a Young Lives vs Cancer Homes from Home, a free place for families to stay close to specialist hospitals when their child is going through treatment, keeping families together.

A good first week

Saturday 9th Aug
Week one was a good week with 5 rides and one 5 km run,

Making an update to my page due to limited editing function, the challenge is to do 300 km but you can only record in miles.

So I will be doing 310.68 miles (500 km0 this month, nothing like challenging yourself to fit in a challenge with life. Family , friends and work.

Week two started with a 40 km Saturday morning ride through the countryside.

Thanks for all the amazing support you are all amazing.

Balancing life

Sunday 3rd Aug
Like most things in life we need to strike a balance, at the start of this month I wanted to smash out the milage, but with all the training I have done recently I need to be careful. And we also have to be available for family, friends and work.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this worthy cause, your generosity is the the one thing that will keep me on track.
Day 1 19.39 km on Zwift
Day 2 26.01 km out in the country side, followed by a day of fly fishing with my beautiful  wife and nephew (the best time is always with family)
Day 3 32.14 km back in the zwift.

77.54 km in,I know I have got this in me so  not too disappointed, I am looking forward to the rest of the month
