Want to join us in supporting a good cause? We're taking on the Kid's Summer Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate £5 or £500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.

Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today.

  • £15 could go towards a grant to cover travel costs for long journeys to live saving treatment
  • £26 could pay for an hour with a Young Lives vs Cancer Specialist Social Worker. They help families understand and cope with the emotional, practical and financial effects of cancer.
  • £70 could pay for a night in a Young Lives vs Cancer Homes from Home, a free place for families to stay close to specialist hospitals when their child is going through treatment, keeping families together

Join me in supporting a good cause, your contribution will make a big impact, whether you donate £5 or £500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.

My Updates

Day 31 31/8/25

Sunday 31st Aug
The last day of our challenge and we have smashed our total! We have raised more money than we ever could have imagined! Thank you to everyone who have so generously to this wonderful charity!

Day 30 30/8/25

Saturday 30th Aug
A horrible stormy day spent at the football field. The girls both played in an underage camogie tournament this morning and then some farming in the afternoon. Fionn spent all day at the pitch, doing laps and helping out at the tuck shop. Despite our worst day weather wise since starting this challenge, we still managed over 20,000 steps!

Day 29 29/8/25

Friday 29th Aug
A few extra recruits for our walk today. A lovely walk around Loughbrickland with friends!

Day 28 28/8/25

Thursday 28th Aug
Back to school today! Another rainy day today, we had to keep local for our walk today and still spent most of the time dodging the showers! Only 3 days left!

Day 27 27/8/25

Wednesday 27th Aug
We had to time our walk between rain showers, but luckily managed our mile before the heavens opened and we were forced inside to go to the cinema! Last day of the summer holidays, back to school tomorrow.

Day 26 26/8/25

Tuesday 26th Aug
A bit of farming in the morning followed by a trip to see the Legananny Dolmen. Almost finished our challenge. We had a bit of rain today, so far we've been incredibly lucky with the weather this month, considering it is Ireland!

Day 25 25/8/25

Monday 25th Aug
Another day, another Forest Park! Today we took a spin around Gosford Forest Park on our bikes and then walked around the parks. Picnic lunch and a well deserved ice cream!

Day 24 24/8/25

Sunday 24th Aug
A lovely walk at Tollymore Forest Park today! 🎉🎉We've raised more than £1000!! 🎉🎉We are so proud of ourselves! Thank you again to everyone who has donated!

Day 23 23/8/25

Day 17 17/8/25

Day 14 14/8/25

Thursday 14th Aug
A walk around the boundary of the Boulevard in Banbridge.

Day 13 13/8/25

Wednesday 13th Aug
Today the children took in the beautiful scenery along the Greenway between Omeath and Carlingford. They cycled there and back (with a picnic stop and a well deserved ice cream!) Fionn missed the cycle because he was at summer camp, but he also managed and impressive personal tally of over 36,000 steps! (Approx 16 miles!)

Day 12 12/8/25

Tuesday 12th Aug
The Magees joined us for our walk today after a sleepover at our house. Such a beautiful morning, definitely makes it easier to encourage the walking!
