I'm taking on the Hair-Raiser Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer.
Want to join me in supporting a good cause? This September, I'm taking on the Hair-Raiser Challenge during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. I am joining hundreads of others who are shaving, cutting, dying or styling their hair for Young Lives vs Cancer.
When a child is diagnosed with cancer life becomes full of fear, for them and their family. Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, overwhelming money worries, of having nowhere to turn, no one to talk to.
Young Lives vs Cancer, help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer.
Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate £5 or £500. Every little bit helps.
Together, we can raise awareness and funds to support children and young people with cancer.
Thank you for your support.

A Tribute to 3 Brave Children
Saturday 31st AugCancer Vs Children This is a tribute to the 3 young children I had the privilege to care for during my nursing career, on 3 separate Christmas Days, that I shall never forget. Sadly not all were given hope of a future. The 3year old, didn’t see his 3rd Christmas, but the 12 year old who was given 2 months to live, by the grace of God grace and mercy, lived until he was 37 years of age, and spent his life fund raising for Leukaemia and cancer research. The 3rd child was stillborn and the pain of losing an expected child on Christmas Day was painful which left scars on the staff, and the depth of pain for all those heroic parents who carry open wounds from these scars, which open every Christmas I shall always remember you with heartfelt sympathy and admiration. I say it was a painful privilege to serve you during these fragile moments that linger a lifetime. I pray The Lord bless those parents with strength and courage, who have the sadness of watching their children suffer this wretched disease. I salute your bravery of having to smile beyond your tears of pain. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🌹🌹🌹

I pray for those young old and feel like giving up.. please do not be defined by your diagnosis… God always has the last say and knows the bigger picture of His plan and purpose for your life. I pray strength, courage, energy And peace to persevere and in faith believe that God didn’t cause this, but will always use it for your Good. He showed me how an inoperable two week diagnosis of a 12 year old that I prayed for was still living at 19 when I met him again in Hospital, and he survived until he was 37 years. He spent his life raising funds for Leukaemia research and childhood cancer patients. God heard my prayers for his life… Through faith we can, we will believe in devine intervention 👩❤️💋👩🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
