Kid's Spring Challenge 2026

We're taking on the Kid's Spring Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer.

Want to join us in supporting a good cause?

Me and my mum are taking on the Kids' Spring Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer, and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate £5 or £50. Every little bit helps and we are very thankful for your support.

We will be completing 1 mile a day, every day for 14 days between the 28th March and the 10th April. We will be doing a mixture of walking and running each day.

Young Lives vs Cancer helps families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day, 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news that they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today.

Thank you for your support. We will keep you updated on our journey... Rosie and Gemma x

Day 12!

Wednesday 8th Apr
Today I went to the park and for a 2 mile walk with my mum and little sister. We were so excited when we spotted a huge grey heron in the river! Only 2 more days to go! Thanks Rosie x

Day 11

Wednesday 8th Apr
Today we had lots of sun so I played out with my friends. I played football, running around our green completing today’s mile. Thanks for all of your support. Rosie x

Day 10

Monday 6th Apr
Day 10 feels like an achievement. My friend came out with me tonight to support me on my walk. It was a nice evening so we took Skye, my nanas dog for a nice walk down the canal. I hope you are enjoying my updates. Rosie x

Day 9

Monday 6th Apr
Day 9 was a busy one… I completed miles in different ways. The first mile I completed was walking and running whilst taking part in the Easter egg hunt on the caravan park. I found 3 eggs and then I helped my sister to find her eggs. Then I went swimming for 1 hour and had lots of fun. Finally I went to an Easter party where I danced to many many songs! Rosie x

Day 8

Monday 6th Apr
For day 8 I completed a walk / run at the caravan park whilst completing their Easter trail. We covered all of the park as the letters had been put in some really difficult places to find. I had lots of fun and even received a chocolate treat when I finished it… the Easter word was SPRING! Rosie x

Day 7

Monday 6th Apr
Day 7 wasn’t the best weather so I decided to complete my mile by walking around town with my Nana. We had a great timeout together looking in the different shops whilst having a girly trip. Rosie x

Day 6

Monday 6th Apr
I completed my day 6 walk with my dad. We walked around our estate and went to say hello to our local alpacas. We laughed so much when they came out to pose for our photo! Thanks for all of your support. Rosie x

Day 5… a team effort!

Monday 6th Apr
Sorry for not keeping on top of my daily updates. We have been staying in a caravan in the lakes and the internet signal wasn’t great. Day 5 I completed my mile with my sister and friends. We walked round Brockholes and had lots of fun!

Day 4…

Tuesday 31st Mar
Today’s mile was a late one as I spent the day with my friend. After watching her Play at her football club this evening, I came home and did my mile walk with my Dad. 🙌🏻

Day 3… 🫶🏻

Monday 30th Mar
My little sister Penny wanted to join us for an evening walk tonight. We walked over a mile and it included walking up a very steep hill. It was nice to let her join in with us for this challenge. Rosie x

Day 2

Monday 30th Mar
Yesterday we completed day 2. It was a wet and windy day so me and my mum headed out at 8am so we could do our mile before the weather got worse. We jogged most of the mile and then we warmed up in the caravan! 🙌🏻 Thanks Rosie

Day 1… complete 🙌🏻

Saturday 28th Mar
I started strong by walking over 2 miles today, from Newby Bridge - Lakeside and back again. It was a nice sunny day but quite cold. I will post regular updates for you. Thank you so much for all of your donations! Rosie & mummy x
