When your world is turned upside down by your child’s cancer diagnosis a whole world of support, which you never imagined yourself needing, opens up to you.

When we were moved to Bristol in April this year for Grace to have her bone marrow transplant we were given the address of lovely accommodation, 10 mins walk from the hospital, and told they were expecting us.

The house was run by Young Lives vs Cancer and was perfectly set up for stressed parents like us. It’s got kitchens, laundries, living rooms, comfy bedrooms and a beautiful garden. The staff were amazing, and when Grace died we were treated with such love and compassion with no hurry to vacate the accommodation while we worked out which way was up.

In November I will be joining a challenge to do 1500 squats, raising money for Young Lives vs Cancer. 

The inconvenience of doing 50 (😮) squats per day in November will be so worth it and willl go a little way to show my gratitude to this wonderful charity and towards helping the other poor families who find themselves needing support in the future.
