We're taking on the Kid's Summer Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer.

Want to join us in supporting a good cause? Hayden and Cody are taking on the Kid's Summer Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate £5 or £500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.

Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today. 

  • £15 could go towards a grant to cover travel costs for long journeys to live saving treatment 
  • £26 could pay for an hour with a Young Lives vs Cancer Specialist Social Worker. They help families understand and cope with the emotional, practical and financial effects of cancer. 
  • £70 could pay for a night in a Young Lives vs Cancer Homes from Home, a free place for families to stay close to specialist hospitals when their child is going through treatment, keeping families together

Day 31- Young lives Vs Cancer Challenge Complete! 👏🏼🎉

Sunday 31st Aug
Well done boys! They have completed over 244 miles in August (target 62) every day without fail, even on holiday and when travelling they were determined to do atleast a mile a day! They have also raised over £400 (target £100). What a great way to spend the summer fundraising for such an important cause! 🖤🩷 Thank you all for your support and generosity. The boys went to Pizza Hut as a treat for doing so well! x

Day 30- Personal best cycling distances

Saturday 30th Aug
So proud of the boys, they have pushed themselves even further today. After clocking up a lot of miles already this week, they both cycled their personal best distance, riding 4.5 miles and 10 miles 🚴🏼‍♂️. Plus getting in lots of steps walking and running too, they haven’t let the rain stop them! Another 21 miles completed today 👏🏼 They will keep striving forward for the last day tomorrow!🖤🩷

Day 29- bike rides, run & play time in garden with cousins

Friday 29th Aug
Play time with cousins in the garden inbetween rain showers, Football & Badminton. Hayden did a run home from Granny’s, total steps 3.5miles. Both did bike rides in evening, 3 miles for Cody, 4.5 for Hayden. Daily total 11 miles. Boys are so chuffed with all the sponsorship received, really pushing them on to the finish!

Day 28- 200 miles target completed 👏🏼

Thursday 28th Aug
The boys have been on a mission the final week to get to 200 miles. Today they hit it! Morning bike ride and play at Granny & Grandads and back, 2 miles. Airhop fun with cousins lots of running and jumping around, total steps 5.5 miles. Evening bike ride both pushing themselves further each time. Cody cycled 2.5 miles and Hayden completed a ride to Thorpe Mandeville 9.2 miles. Amazing effort = 19miles today! 💪🏼

Day 27- 4 Kingdoms fun and bike ride with Granny

Wednesday 27th Aug
Lots of steps walking around 4Kingdoms adventure park and lots of fun in the soft play and playing laser tag! 7 miles together. Boys on a mission with an evening bike ride with Granny, 2.5 miles together. Daily total = 12 miles 💪🏼

Day 26- Cycling mission 🚴🏼‍♂️ and park fun!

Tuesday 26th Aug
The boys are on a mission to try and hit 200 miles before the end of August! Today they both went on bike rides and Hayden managed to bike to Greatworth and climbed the big hill, totalling 14 miles, plus walking another 3 miles! =17 miles today 💪🏼 they even had time for some park fun! 😁

Day 25- Family BBQ fun and football training

Monday 25th Aug
Lots of fun playing with cousins in the garden then football training this evening. 7.5 miles total today 😎

Day 24- Park fun and bike rides

Sunday 24th Aug
The boys went on separate bike rides with their Dad. Hayden did a 8.5 mile bike ride and Cody did 2.5 miles, both climbing some big hills! Along with steps playing at the park and through the day another combined 3.5 miles. End of day total =14.5 miles, smashing it! 💪🏼 🚴🏼‍♂️

Day 23- Bike ride and walk to Granny &Grandads

Saturday 23rd Aug
Walked to visit Granny & Grandad and took Toni for a walk. Hayden went on a 8.5 mile bike ride with Dad this afternoon, doing the Marston St Lawrence loop and cycle around the village. Total 11.5 miles 🚴🏼‍♂️ 🚶🏻‍♂️ 💪🏼

Day 22- Long journey from Newquay

Friday 22nd Aug
We had a very long 7 hour car journey back home from Newquay. The boys did really well upon returning at 6:30pm, Cody and I went for a walk to stretch our legs and Hayden and Dad went for a bike ride. Total 4 miles 🚴🏼‍♂️ 🚶🏻‍♂️

Day 21- Fun with cousins on hol

Thursday 21st Aug
Fun with their Cousins at Newquay holiday park. Swimming, high ropes, parks, football and arcades! Actioned packed with lots of steps, another 10miles completed! Well done! 💪🏼

Day 20- Hit 100 miles and fun on the beach🏄🏻‍♂️

Well done boys! 100 miles completed together! They have been tracking their steps with their watches and did a lot of walking around the holiday park and Newquay beach 🏖️ 😎 🏊🏼‍♂️

Day 19- Newquay holiday fun

Tuesday 19th Aug
Busy day on hols. Swimming, wrestling show, arcades and cousin playtime. Lots of walking around the holiday park! 8 miles completed today, well done!🚶🏻‍♂️😎

Day 18-On holiday drive to Newquay

Tuesday 19th Aug
Long drive to Newquay, got lots of steps in once arrived. Exploring the site and playing with their cousins. 4.5 miles completed.

Day 17- Sunday chill day

Monday 18th Aug
Getting packed for holiday tomorrow. Nice bike ride to the playing field and fun in the park, they went twice! They love to have a kick about 🏃🏻‍♂️ ⚽️ 😊 Another 4.5 miles completed. ✅

Day 16- More football and fun on the sidelines

Saturday 16th Aug
Hayden had a football match for 90mins and Cody was playing football and running around on the sidelines to get his steps in! Afternoon play at the park and having a kick around. 🏃🏻‍♂️⚽️ Total distance = 8 miles 👏🏼

Day 15- Park meet up with cousins

Friday 15th Aug
Lots of steps playing at the park with their cousins in the morning. Football training and park walk/run this afternoon, with gym station fun along the way for Cody. =5 miles completed. The boys are very grateful for all donations and messages of support 🩷🖤 They are so happy they’ve now exceeded the second fundraising target, currently raised £213!! Amazing 🤩 Thank you all 🙏🏻 x

Day 14- Hit challenge target!

Friday 15th Aug
Well done boys! 👏🏼🎉 14 days and 70 miles completed together, smashing the challenge target already! Today was busy with bike rides, jogging, walking, playing at the park and football training. Still 17 days left until the end of August and they’re aiming to do many more miles yet.🏃🏻‍♂️ 🚴🏼‍♂️ 🩷🖤

Day 13- Willen Lake MK

Wednesday 13th Aug
The boys cooled off at the Splash park then tested out their new smart watches to help track their steps. They enjoyed a walk around Willen Lake trying the activity stations on route. They clocked up 5.5 miles today and are so close to completing their target challenge distance already! Keep going boys 💪🏼👏🏼

Day 12- What a scorcher! 😎

Wednesday 13th Aug
Went for a 1.5 mile bike ride around the village this morning before it got too hot! Then went to the outdoor pool for a swim and cool down. Nearly hit their month target distance already! Only a few miles left but the boys are going to keep going to see what distance they can reach!

Day 11- Lots of activity to track

Tuesday 12th Aug
Hayden covered 4 miles football training. Took Toni for a walk for 1.3 miles. Cody did a bike ride in the evening for 1.7miles. Great work boys! 7 miles in total today.

Day 10- x2 bike rides and play at the park

Sunday 10th Aug
1.7 miles cycled twice, morning and afternoon and play at the playing fields. Lots of steps completed too!

Day 9- Airhop, bike ride and Badminton

Saturday 9th Aug
Lots of running, bouncing and fun at Airhop, doing 1 mile in steps in 90mins! Evening 2 mile bike ride to visit Granny and Grandad and play Badminton, completing another mile in steps.

Day 8- Walk around Boughton- Norfolk

Friday 8th Aug
Walk around Boughton, stopping to feed the ducks before setting off home from our Norfolk holiday.

Day 7- holiday fun

Thursday 7th Aug
Lots of swimming, badminton, trampolining and a walk to feed the ducks

Day 6- Walk around Hunstanton & Boughton

Thursday 7th Aug
Lots of walking and swimming, trampolining, Badminton at the holiday home.

Day 5- Walk around the local area Boughton

Tuesday 5th Aug
Walked around the local area. Also done lots of swimming and rounders but didn’t have watch tracker on.

Day 4 -First day of hols

Monday 4th Aug
Lots of walking, running, swimming at our holiday home for the week.

Day 3-Bike ride around village

Sunday 3rd Aug
The boys went on a bike ride around the village, completing 1.8 miles before the rain started!

Day 2- Bike ride to Granny & Grandads

Sunday 3rd Aug
Busy day, bike ride to Granny & Grandad’s house.
Puppy sitting with lots of steps, walking and running around in the garden. Playing Badminton, then bike ride home.
