Let’s make a difference
Saturday 5th AprAustin’s 14-Mile Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer
This April, my son is lacing up his trainers and taking on an incredible challenge—competing 14 miles in just two weeks to raise money for Young Lives vs Cancer, a charity that’s close to our hearts.
At just 10 years old he’s shown so much determination, kindness, and compassion. When we spoke about doing something to support children and young people going through cancer, he didn’t hesitate—“I want to help,” he said. And just like that, we set a goal: 14 miles. Two weeks. One mission—to make a difference.
Why 14 miles?
Every mile represents the strength, courage, and hope that young people show every day while facing one of life’s toughest battles. And for my son, each step is a way of saying, “You’re not alone.”
Whether it’s walking in the rain, tackling hills, cycling, playing for his football team or squeezing in steps after school, he’s committed—and so are we. As a family, we’re cheering him on every step of the way, and we’d love it if you did too!
How you can help:
We’re asking for donations—big or small—to support Young Lives vs Cancer and the vital work they do for children and families across the UK. Your generosity can help provide emotional, financial, and practical support at the hardest time in a child’s life.
If you’d like to support his challenge, please head to our fundraising page here: https://tapth.at/jz3RVQeO
Follow our journey—we’ll be sharing updates, photos, and maybe even a few tired but proud smiles along the way!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Let’s help young lives fight cancer with strength, love, and a little boy’s big heart.
