We're taking on the Kid's Summer Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer.
This summer Isaac is taking on the Kid's Summer Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer. He will be running, cycling, walking or swimming 1 mile each day throughout August. After Grandad passed away in April he asked a lot of questions which were very difficult to answer, but after some careful explaining he's beginning to understand. When he asked how to help people that become unwell like Grandad we looked around for a charity that supported those living with cancer, and their families. We thought this challenge was the most appropriate for him, and he jumped at the chance to take part and help other people.
Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today.
- £15 could go towards a grant to cover travel costs for long journeys to live saving treatment
- £26 could pay for an hour with a Young Lives vs Cancer Specialist Social Worker. They help families understand and cope with the emotional, practical and financial effects of cancer.
- £70 could pay for a night in a Young Lives vs Cancer Homes from Home, a free place for families to stay close to specialist hospitals when their child is going through treatment, keeping families together
