I'm walking 100 miles for Young Lives vs Cancer.

I'm taking on the Walk 100 Miles Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer. I will be walking 100 miles in May to support children and young people with cancer. 

Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today. 

  • £15 could go towards a grant to cover travel costs for long journeys to live saving treatment 
  • £23 could pay for an hour with a Young Lives vs Cancer Specialist Social Worker. They help families understand and cope with the emotional, practical and financial effects of cancer. 
  • £60 could pay for a night in a Young Lives vs Cancer Homes from Home, a free place for families to stay close to specialist hospitals when their child is going through treatment, keeping families together

So i completed my 100miles but I'm still going daily till the 31st may 

Why i want to do this challenge

Saturday 5th Apr
On 29th July 2022 we had to take our 5yr old daughter in hospital as she had been unwell for quiet a few weeks that day was the day that changed our lives we was told our little girl had cancer and we was being transferred hospital, we got to our new hospital early hours in the morning of 30th July the next few weeks were a huge mind bender we had meeting's with so many professionals to find out what flavour of cancer she had (we say flavour it sounds less scary for the kids) but young lives helped us soon much with financial support and emotional support they were our life savers we had to run 2 household technically me and our daughter in hospital and my husband and our 5 other children at home for months on end they helped with giving my daughter stuff to keep herself entertained as hospital gets boring especially when having rough days with treatments so because they helped us i want to do this to try and help give back a little xxxxxx 
Young lives vs cancer saves so many families so much stress they help more than they realise
