My target 100 mi

I'm running 100 miles for Young Lives vs Cancer.

I'm taking on the Run 100 Miles Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer. I will be running 100 miles in March to support children and young people with cancer.

Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today.

  • £20 could pay for a coat for a child or young person with cancer, to help keep them warm through the winter months when they really feel the cold due to treatment
  • £60 could pay for a night in a Young Lives vs Cancer Homes from Home, a free place for families to stay close to specialist hospitals when their child is going through treatment, keeping families together

Join me in supporting a good cause, your contribution will make a big impact, whether you donate £5 or £500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.

My Updates

Getting it done!

Friday 21st Mar
School run and straight out to complete 6.5 KM.
very heavy , sore and achy from the other runs this week and yesterday afternoon.
So a slower pace of 6 minute kilometres.
Felt like I was running for an hour not 35 minutes .
We keep on track and keep moving !

Day 19 - running with a flat tyre

Wednesday 19th Mar
Well the last week has been a real challenge the constant thought of running and being on track to reach my goal.
Time is a real struggle saying hi and bye to the kids when I come in from work going straight out and getting it done.
My body now feels sore, achey and ready to give up!
I feel like every run is with a limp along.

Today I ran much better and managed to pick up to a usual pace and that was mainly cus I was in a rush.

Onwards and upwards we keep on pushing!

Thank you everyone for your support and donations you are amazing people !

17 miles down 83 to go !

Thursday 6th Mar

Last night i ran for a 5th day in a row!

After finishing work at 5PM the mad rush starts at home having to get the kids fed and then Archie off to football training. I barely stopped for 2 minutes straight into my running gear on and off out.

Legs can only be described as the feeling of when you over stretch elastic bands to the point of it snapping.

Half way through the run i thought this going to be one hell of a challenge to get through! I cranked up the music in my headphones and whilst changing songs on my phone i had two notifications come through that two more people had donated! This spurred me on for the second half of the run and got me home! Determination to complete challenges like this is just a different level when you are doing it for other popel who are poorly or need help.

A tough Road Ahead

Tuesday 4th Mar
Im now 4 days into my challenge and i have decided to try and complete a 5.2KM run each day with no rest between days. I have previously completed run the month for prostate cancer and this is around 26 Miles. This will be almost 4 times that with this 100 mile challenge. This fantastic cause is whats driving me to complete this challenge because 1 month of pain for me is nothing versus the pain families go through when having a child diagnosed with cancer. I would be hugely grateful of peoples support whether that be through donations or through words of support. Thank you all
