I'm walking 100 miles for Young Lives vs Cancer.

I'm taking on the Walk 100 Miles Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer. I will be walking 100 miles in May to support children and young people with cancer. 

Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today. 

  • £15 could go towards a grant to cover travel costs for long journeys to live saving treatment 
  • £23 could pay for an hour with a Young Lives vs Cancer Specialist Social Worker. They help families understand and cope with the emotional, practical and financial effects of cancer. 
  • £60 could pay for a night in a Young Lives vs Cancer Homes from Home, a free place for families to stay close to specialist hospitals when their child is going through treatment, keeping families together

Nancy

Friday 18th Apr
My niece Nancy was diagnosed with a brain tumour at 13 months old. She had surgery to have the tumour removed and then had chemo for a year, ringing the bell in January 2025.

It’s not just Nancy that had to go through this, but a lot of other family’s. You realise this is one ward, in one hospital in the uk - there are 100s more and that was the biggest eye opener for us. It’s heartbreaking to see childhood taken away from children due to cancer 😔 it was amazing to see how this charity gives them thier childhood back 💪🏻🥰 not only that but they support the families going through it with them and it all really does help.
