We're taking on the Kid's Summer Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer.

Want to join us in supporting a good cause? We're taking on the Kid's Summer Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate £5 or £500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.

Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today. 

  • £15 could go towards a grant to cover travel costs for long journeys to live saving treatment 
  • £26 could pay for an hour with a Young Lives vs Cancer Specialist Social Worker. They help families understand and cope with the emotional, practical and financial effects of cancer. 
  • £70 could pay for a night in a Young Lives vs Cancer Homes from Home, a free place for families to stay close to specialist hospitals when their child is going through treatment, keeping families together

Connor finished his challenge today by walking, driving, bouncing, sliding, climbing & dancing another 5 miles. He got a special mention at the foam party too. What a way to CELEBRATE 🥰🎉🥳 🎉 Congratulations everyone. Fantastic effort for an amazing charity xx

Saturday 30th Aug
Today's mile was walking our dog before heading back home from holiday. Our 'gold' photo is Connor panning for gold.

Heroes

Friday 29th Aug
Our superhero did 4 miles mostly jogging today. We found THE holy well that gives Holywell it's name then a walk to the beach. Ice cream stop before walking back. 🏃⛱️🍦

Sunglasses 😎

Thursday 28th Aug
We needed sunglasses for most of our 4 mile hedgehog trail around Truro today. Stops included the Cathedral and then the Museum where Connor was thrilled to see lots of rocks and minerals.

Sea

Wednesday 27th Aug
7 miles completed today exploring the beach and sea on our holidays. Found the well at Holywell 🥰🌊⛱️ Connor says well done to everyone doing the challenge! He hopes everyone is having as much fun as he is xx

Leaves

Today's mile ended with a game of mini golf with plenty of leaves to see and the sea in the background. 🍃⛳

Dogs

Monday 25th Aug
2 miles playing on the beach today. Our dog Minnie is always by our side and has joined in the challenge every step of the way.

Yesterday's theme of holidays - to us holidays mean adventures, exploring, beach and of course ice cream (and desserts) 5 miles exploring Tintagel castle 🥰🏰🥵 xx

4 miles exploring today. No actual rainbows as the weather was glorious but a rainbow of colours found in these caves.

Theme of the day for 22/8/25 was 'Family'. Team family smashed a fab 3 miles. Lots of love from our family to all of yours xx

Today's theme of sun was very fitting as we headed off on holiday. Plenty of sunshine and a beautiful sunset for our 3 mile walk.

First football game of the season

Wednesday 20th Aug
Today was the first football game of the season so a very active mile. Photo theme was ice cream but he didn't fancy one today maybe tomorrow?

3 and half miles covered today at an adventure theme park with his cousin. Today's photo theme was park benches - We loved this unusual dinosaur bone for a park bench🦕🦖

Saturday 9th Aug
Today's mile was spent walking up and down the stream at his cousin's birthday get together. As today's theme was books he asked his fellow young lives Vs cancer fundraisers if anyone else is doing the library summer reading challenge 🥰📖

Cats

Friday 8th Aug
Theme for today is Cats. Whenever we go out our cats welcome us back home. Mile today was a lovely walk through the woods to the park.

Street Art

Thursday 7th Aug
More Forest Art than Street Art but really enjoyed today's 2 mile walk at the sculpture trail.

Animals

As today's theme was animals we went to the ponds to see the swans 🦢

Today's mile theme was City. Nothing says 'city' more than a Cathedral!

The flowers looked stunning at the park after this morning's rain 🌸🌹🌼 An amazing mile walking amongst beautiful flowers!

Today's mile was on horseback during a jumping lesson. Well done Connor and Teddy! Challenge today was shadows so we captured a lovely shadow picture before they started 🥰🐴

For today's theme of clouds we chose to capture the reflection of the clouds in the duck pond. Another 3 miles clocked up. x

Hi! I am Connor and I am 8 years old. I am doing a mile every day in August to raise money for a charity called young lives vs cancer. I will be walking, running, swimming or cycling a mile every day.
I know about cancer because my cousin has leukemia even though she is only 4 years old. Please donate to help children with cancer and the families that are struggling because of it. Just remember, every penny counts.
