We're taking on the Kid's Summer Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer.

Want to join us in supporting a good cause? We're taking on the Kid's Summer Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate £5 or £500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.

Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today. 

  • £15 could go towards a grant to cover travel costs for long journeys to live saving treatment 
  • £26 could pay for an hour with a Young Lives vs Cancer Specialist Social Worker. They help families understand and cope with the emotional, practical and financial effects of cancer. 
  • £70 could pay for a night in a Young Lives vs Cancer Homes from Home, a free place for families to stay close to specialist hospitals when their child is going through treatment, keeping families together

It's harder to get mike's in than you might think on a plane, but I'm true Addie style, she did, and charmed her way into getting an reward from the cabin crew!

Irish Dancing Day 25

Thursday 21st Aug
After an epic 5 miles yesterday, Addie managed to do A4 hour Irish Dancing Workshop for today's mile! I'm sure she did a lot more steps than that!

We went to the Beamish Museum and got over 4 miles in seeing all the sites.... And even going down the mines! Addie, being the legend that she is, wanted to get it to 5 miles, so we went to Teesside Park and had a bounce! Thank you.... 3 Neon themed miles!

Today the challenge was neon! Well...the ken warmers didn't really fit the mustard so we found out only bit of neon....and attempted to use it to spell out the word neon at various points on our walk! Addie even got "spotted" today by a supporter... Very exciting!

Day 22, 3 miles, 2 challenges, 1 Superstar!

Monday 18th Aug
After deciding to push herself even further last night, Addie had set herself the goal of walking more than twice the distance of the challenge (63 miles instead of 31!) and has set the ambitious target of pushing her fundraising target to £630! Addie has also taken on the dinner reading challenge... And today completed that! Thank you to everyone who has supported us this summer!

Two dog walks and a chance encounter with a duck race meant we got three miles in today!

Day 20 - 1 mile

Saturday 16th Aug
Addie started early with an exhausting "tumble" class... She was a proper sweaty Betty! In true Addie style, she took the dog for a mile + walk, before putting her feet up for the rest of the day!

Friday 15th Aug
A day full of fun with the party boppers... Followed by a meeting at the town council... And then swimming!

Day 18

Thursday 14th Aug
Roped the family into a trek around the countryside! We went foraging and had a great time... Obviously ended with a drink in the pub!

It was blistering today, so we headed to the coast this morning for a beach walk, and then this afternoon's adventure included meeting the cousins and walking to the ice-cream shop!

We went on the Radio!

Tuesday 12th Aug
Today Addie d invited to speak on BBC RADIO TEES all about her fundraising activities, and more importantly about the charity! Very exciting!

Monday 11th Aug
Today Addie said that she things she must've run atleast 2 miles at a sports club, chasing balls ..but to make sure, she also did a mile dog walk, even though she was feeling tired!

Yes we started early, yes it's only half way through the month and yes we have achieved our fundraising and distance targets but.....
YES Addie will continue to do miles, to get as many as she can in and raise as much money as possible!
