I'm walking 100 miles for Young Lives vs Cancer.

I'm taking on the Walk 100 Miles Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer. I will be walking 100 miles in May to support children and young people with cancer.

Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today.

  • £15 could go towards a grant to cover travel costs for long journeys to live saving treatment
  • £23 could pay for an hour with a Young Lives vs Cancer Specialist Social Worker. They help families understand and cope with the emotional, practical and financial effects of cancer.
  • £60 could pay for a night in a Young Lives vs Cancer Homes from Home, a free place for families to stay close to specialist hospitals when their child is going through treatment, keeping families together

Join me in supporting a good cause, your contribution will make a big impact, whether you donate £1 or £100. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.

My Updates

100 miles in May for Lilly

Sunday 20th Apr
I am going to be walking 100 miles in May.
I happened across this while scrolling on Facebook on a particularly bad day where my grief was quite raw.
For those of you know me will know all about the littlest girl who has left the biggest whole in our families hearts. For those who don't.. Here is a brief summary. ..
On the 11th November 2024 my Neice was diagnosed with Leukemia. She wes sent straight to the RVI to begin treatment where Young Lives vs Cancer played a big part in helping get my Sister and her partner through some very tough times. They also did so much to help Lilly who was taking everything in her stride and was so brave. She put all of us adults to shame actually. We just had to look to her too see exactly what bravery meant. Lilly spent a couple of weeks in the RVI then was allowed home. She was kicking cancers ass! Unfortunately she picked up an infection so on one of her out patient appointments she had to stay in hospital and Lilly never came home.. The infection spread and Lilly gained her angel wings on the 3rd January 2025.
Although it wasn't the cancer that took our sassy little princess, Young lives vs Cancer where there to support my family every step of the way.
So while aimlessly scrolling and seeing this challenge I thought you know what, stop feeling sorry your self Kayleigh.. Do something to help.. Be productive!
And here I am asking for all you lovely lot to donate as little or as much as you can.. It doesn't matter to me if it's 1p.
Anything will help.
Thank you
