My target 30 mi

I'm walking 30 miles in November for Young Lives vs Cancer.

I’m taking on Walk 30 Miles in November for Young Lives vs Cancer. I will be walking 30 miles this November to support children and young people with cancer.

Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today.

Just a £26 donation could fund an hour of support from a Young Lives vs Cancer specialist social worker ensuring children, young people and families always have someone by their side throughout their cancer journey.

Thank you for your support.

I've decided to do the the 30 miles in November challange!

**Not my words - this is the family's story I've been given permission to share **

Owens Story

Owen was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma back in 2022. After enduring nearly 18 rounds of chemotherapy and six weeks of daily radiotherapy, Owen was given the all-clear in January 2023. He spent the following year enjoying his newfound freedom and living his best life. However, in January 2024, we learned that Owen had relapsed and his cancer had returned. Since then, he has undergone more rounds of chemotherapy including oral chemotherapy, a trail in Newcastle and a final round of high dose treatment which unfortunately have not stopped the cancer’s growth. We were then told there were no more options for Owen in terms of chemotherapy treatment and he has since gone onto receive radiotherapy to give him a greater quality of life.

Owen he has a strength like no other. He has found courage we rarely see and, amidst the most difficult and sometimes undignified circumstances, has shown unparalleled dignity — all while wearing his wonderful and infectious smile. Although Owen has cancer, he has NEVER let it define who he is. Instead, he has chosen to live his life not just ‘normally,’ but in an extraordinary way. There is no one I know who loves life as much as Owen does.

How Can you Help?  Please donate 🙏
