I'm taking on 10,000 steps every day in February for Young Lives vs Cancer.

I’m taking on 10,000 steps every day in February for Young Lives vs Cancer.

Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day, 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news that they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today.

Just a £26 donation could fund an hour of support from a Young Lives vs Cancer specialist social worker, ensuring children, young people and families always have someone by their side throughout their cancer journey.

£70 could pay for a night in a Young Lives vs Cancer Home from Home, a free place for families to stay close to specialist hospitals when their child is going through treatment, keeping families together.

Thank you for your support.

Halfway Through My 10,000 Steps a Day Challenge

Thursday 12th Feb

I can’t believe I’m already nearly halfway through my 10,000 steps a day challenge for cancer.

When I first signed up, I knew it would be a challenge, but I didn’t realise just how much it would become part of my daily routine. Some days have felt easy and even enjoyable, while others have definitely taken a bit more effort -especially on busy or tired days. But so far, I’ve kept going, and that’s something I’m really proud of.

This challenge has made me much more aware of how active I am during the day. I’ve found myself going on more walks, taking longer routes, and even pacing around the house just to reach my goal. It’s also become a really nice way to clear my head, especially on days when I need a mental reset.

What’s kept me motivated is knowing why I’m doing this. Every step is for people affected by cancer - those currently fighting it, those who have beaten it, and those we remember. Thinking about that has really helped push me through the tougher days.

I’m so grateful to everyone who has supported me so far, whether that’s through donations, messages, or encouragement. It really means more than I can say. With the second half of the challenge still to go, I’m excited to keep going and finish strong.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me and helping me make every step count. 💛
