Hair-Raiser Challenge - September 2024

I'm taking on the Hair-Raiser Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer.

Want to join me in supporting a good cause? This September, I'm taking on the Hair-Raiser Challenge during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. I am joining hundreads of others who are shaving, cutting, dying or styling their hair for Young Lives vs Cancer.

When a child is diagnosed with cancer life becomes full of fear, for them and their family. Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, overwhelming money worries, of having nowhere to turn, no one to talk to.

Young Lives vs Cancer, help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer.

Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate £5 or £500. Every little bit helps.

Together, we can raise awareness and funds to support children and young people with cancer.

Thank you for your support.

My Updates

Help me make a difference at my expense

Sunday 1st Sep
I would like to ask a favour of you lovely lot.
Losing a child has a massive impact on everyone in that child’s life; friends, family, teachers, anyone who’s lives they touched and more importantly the parents.

We move forward in a strange landscape without Taylan here for all those things he should have been able to do and be doing- we try and change the outcome for another child or young person and their family.

I have decided to take on a slightly different fundraiser and you have the power to decide my fate- once I hit or hopefully exceed my target on the last day I will take that challenge on!

So I will be posting a pole and asking for donations to shave, dye, cut, or add things on to my hair!

Taylan had the most beautiful hair, it was definitely boy band material hair, it’s was footballer hair and it was one of his most gorgeous features!

Sadly it was taken from him through treatment and is as we all know one of the major factors that change for a child impacting on everything there after- hard to stay warm, revealing of scars.

I want to let you take away my hair in a way that will show support and help raise awareness and money at the same time!

If anyone wants to join me in this challenge I welcome this, this isn’t just my fundraiser it’s for everyone affected.

Poll to follow shortly!
