Two Weeks In – Still Smashing the Challenge!

Thursday 14th Aug

We’re now two weeks into the Young Lives vs Cancer Summer Challenge, and Finlay and Rhys are doing absolutely amazing! Not only have they kept up with the daily mile, but they’re always pushing beyond it — running, cycling, and exploring more every day.

Today’s adventure took them to the Lake District, where they spent the day walking, discovering caves, and following beautiful trails. Their energy and commitment have been truly inspiring.

A huge thank you to everyone who continues to sponsor and support the boys — your encouragement keeps them motivated rain or shine.

We’re also so proud to share that Harrison has started going out for short walks each day as he works on rebuilding his energy and strength after his most recent chemo cycle. Every step forward is a win, and we know he’s got his eyes set on taking part in the challenge next year!

Here’s to the next two weeks of determination, fresh air, and amazing support from you all.

With love and gratitude,
Harrison’s Family

Thank You Hwan Yeong Taekwondo Academy!

Friday 8th Aug

We want to say a massive thank you to everyone at Hwan Yeong Taekwondo Academy, where Rhys trains, for their incredible generosity and support.

Over the last two months, they’ve been quietly collecting donations from the sale of bottled water, teas, and coffee — and have now raised an amazing £145, which they’ve kindly donated to support Rhys and Finlay’s Summer Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer.

Thank you, Hwan Yeong — for not just supporting this challenge, but for cheering Rhys on every step of the way. Your kindness is truly appreciated!

With heartfelt thanks,
Harrison’s Family

Week 1 Complete – Over £2,000 Raised!

Thursday 7th Aug

We’ve just completed the first 7 days of the Young Lives vs Cancer Kids Summer Challenge, and what a week it’s been!

Finlay and Rhys have been absolute stars — running and cycling their daily mile (and often more!) every single day, no matter what. From local trails to an adventurous day in Gisburn Forest in the Lake District, they’ve shown such determination, energy and heart.

We’re beyond proud of them — and so is Harrison, who continues to cheer them on while he recovers from his most recent chemo cycle. He’s more determined than ever to take part in the challenge himself next year.

We are also completely blown away by the generosity and kindness shown by everyone who has supported us so far. Thanks to you, we’ve now raised over £2,000 for Young Lives vs Cancer — an incredible charity that has been with us every step of the way.

Thank you doesn’t feel big enough. Every single donation, message, and share is making a real difference — not just to our family, but to so many others facing childhood cancer.

Here’s to Week 2!

With love and endless gratitude,
Harrison’s Family

24 Hours In – Thank You for Your Incredible Support!

Thursday 31st Jul

It’s been just 24 hours since we launched our fundraising page… and we are completely overwhelmed.

The generosity, love and kindness we’ve received has left us speechless. Thank you doesn’t seem big enough, but from the bottom of our hearts — thank you. Every message, every donation, every share means the world to us.

Harrison is truly touched by the outpouring of support. Knowing that so many people are behind him has lifted his spirits more than words can say.

As for Finlay and Rhys — they are super charged and ready to kick off their Summer Challenge tomorrow. That involves them both running 1 mile every single day for 31 days.

Your support is fuelling them — so please keep cheering them on!

We’ll keep sharing their journey throughout the month. Watch this space.

With love and gratitude,
Harrison’s Family

Harrison’s Story: A Journey of Courage, Love and Support

Wednesday 30th Jul

Earlier this year, our world changed overnight.

Harrison, our vibrant, kind-hearted boy, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma – Large B-Cell. It’s a moment no family is ever prepared for. Time seemed to stop as we tried to comprehend the weight of that diagnosis and what it meant for Harrison, and for all of us as a family.

Since that day, Harrison has faced everything thrown at him with an inspiring mix of courage, resilience and humility. Through countless rounds of chemotherapy, hospital stays and uncertainty, he’s continued to smile, to fight, and to show us all what true bravery looks like.

We’ve been overwhelmed by the support we've received. From family and friends who have wrapped around us with love, to the incredible staff at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, and the many charities who have walked beside us — including Young Lives vs Cancer — we can’t thank you all enough. You've helped carry us through our darkest days and given us hope when we needed it most.

This summer, Harrison’s brothers, Finlay and Rhys, have taken on the Young Lives vs Cancer Summer Challenge – a way of giving back, raising awareness, and showing their support for their brother and every child like him. It’s their way of saying: "We’re with you, Harrison." And while he can’t take part this year, we know that next summer, with all being well, Harrison will be right there alongside them.

To everyone reading this: thank you for supporting children like Harrison and families like ours. Your kindness matters more than you’ll ever know.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Harrison’s Family
