My Updates

Another 3 miles

Friday 9th Aug
No dedicated walk on Wednesday as we headed to the National Space Museum for the day. Lots of running around the exhibits and climbing 42m (144 steps).

Thursday, a Trip to the Mall to play on the Olympic themed activities, not enough to warrant mileage so off to Page Park for a proper 3 mile walk and scoot.

Evening Walk

Tuesday 6th Aug
Just as Andy sat down to watch the evening olympics Lawrence reminded they had an evening walk planned. Off the went for a couple of miles.

Swim

Tuesday 6th Aug
A 30min swim with Andy and then 30 more minutes with coach followed but a fun swim at our local outdoor pool the next day means a few more meters added to the target.

Scoot Scoot

Tuesday 6th Aug
After a visit to the library to learn how to play Boccia, tune into the paraolympics soon to find out more, we took the scooter to Charfield. This community park has a flat pavement around the cricket grass perfect for jogging and wheeling. I forgot my phone so no app to record but thankfully signage said one lap = 524m
10 laps later plus the toing and froing in and out of the skate park another 3miles done and a blister to prove.

Tortworth Lake

Tuesday 6th Aug
Second walk was to walk Tortworth Lake, public access is limited to one day a month for set months of the year. We hadn’t managed to walk the lake yet this year so Sunday was a perfect opportunity. After one loop around the late L bumped into his mate so together they set off again around the lake in the opposite direction. Another 3 miles ticked off.

First 2 miler

Friday 2nd Aug
It was too hot to walk yesterday so we doubled up today for our first walk.
A lovely 1 mile to the pub for lunch and then a 1 mile walk home.
