Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today. 

  • £15 could go towards a grant to cover travel costs for long journeys to live saving treatment 
  • £26 could pay for an hour with a Young Lives vs Cancer Specialist Social Worker. They help families understand and cope with the emotional, practical and financial effects of cancer. 
  • £70 could pay for a night in a Young Lives vs Cancer Homes from Home, a free place for families to stay close to specialist hospitals when their child is going through treatment, keeping families together

Wow! Thanks so much for all the donations so far… we’ve got 5 days before the challenge begins. 
Oscar is over the moon each time we get a notification - especially as the original target was only £150. 

Some more info on Oscar and the charity, oscar has finished treatment now, he was diagnosed when he was 3 and finished treatment in November last year. 
He technically has the all clear but relapse is quite high so it’s 5 years from November until he will be classed completely cancer free 😄 

Our clic Sargent who is someone from the charity who looks after you, Clare, would come and sit with me when me and Oscar weren’t allowed to leave the hospital room as he was so poorly. As we were in Southampton and during Covid you weren’t allowed any visitors only parents. So me and my mum were the only ones for the most part in the hospital room. 
She also called me once or twice a month to check up on us once we left hospital as well as driving down to Chichester to see us in our home. 
On top of that she helped get grants, family days out, trips away to try and make the whole journey as pleasant as it could be 😄
