Wilfred and Merryn are taking on the Kid's Summer Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer. They will walk, run, cycle, swim, hop, skip or jump at least 1 mile a day every day in August. Any contribution will make an impact, and every little bit helps. Here's to childhoods free of cancer 💪

An early mile with the dogs, meant we could spend this windy day in the best way

An epic day for Daddy and Wilf! 8.8 miles of windy hills with a cafe stop in the middle. Got there before their domestiques. One boy proud of himself, all of us proud of him too.

Wilf had a boys day with a friend and their Dad. Raced around Haldon Forest and Darts Farm, many miles clocked and much pizza eaten 🍕

Rare moment of sibling harmony. Ran around the park until hit 1 mile, plus some extra distance doggy paddled in the pool

A moment to reflect after walking and cycling a mile, learning diablo, plate spinning, stilt walking, dressing up and completing an obstacle course about 500 times

Yellow rattle rattling, blackberry picking, nut collecting, boardwalk running and tree hugging on our walk today

The knees of a cyclist! 2 miles done today as we had too much fun at a playdate to squeeze one in yesterday

First week

You know where you are with a National Trust tea. Lots of uphills and downhills as Mummy, Merryn, Wilfred and Wally complete the first week of the challenge at Knightshayes Court.

Screaming Disney songs as you climb a big hill really takes it out of you

Monday 5th Aug
Important sticker on the chart today, our first donations! Thank you so much to our kind and supportive family

Monday 5th Aug
Mile 5 in one of our favourite places - Haldon Forest. Wilf did it twice and Merryn fell off but carried on going and finished with a smile 😀

Sunday 4th Aug
2km down by 9am - Wilf enjoying a park run. They both cycled a mile in the evening too

Reaching speeds requiring princess dresses to be tucked in to pants! (Just Merryn today, Daddy left his at home)

Day 2

Although we covered a mile in the traditional, horizontal manner - Wilf and Merryn also got some vertical distances in too

Day 1 - off we go!

Wilf, Merryn, Wally and Mummy went off to do the first mile. We were very grateful for the pit stop at a friend's house for drinks and slices of watermelon 🍉
