My target 100 mi

I'm running 100 miles for Young Lives vs Cancer.

I'm taking on the Run 100 Miles Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer. I will be running 100 miles in October to support children and young people with cancer.

Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today.

  • £26 could fund an hour of support from a Young Lives vs Cancer specialist social worker ensuring children, young people and families always have someone by their side throughout their cancer journey.
  • £70 could pay for a night in a Young Lives vs Cancer Homes from Home, a free place for families to stay close to specialist hospitals when their child is going through treatment, keeping families together

Join me in supporting a good cause, your contribution will make a big impact, whether you donate £5 or £500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.

The reason why im doing the run

Tuesday 7th Oct
Cancer can cast a long, dark shadow over families, disrupting the foundations upon which they are built. The diagnosis of a loved one can bring about a whirlwind of emotions some people with feel anger sadness and some an uncertainty of emotions. Daily routines are often disrupted due to medical appointments, treatments, and caregiving responsibilities. Roles may shift, with some members taking on new responsibilities while others struggle to cope with their changing circumstances. Communication can become strained as family members grapple with difficult emotions. The emotional toll of watching a loved one suffer can be overwhelming for a lot of peope leading to a range of different feelings. Cancer can isolate families, making it difficult to maintain good relationships with people. Not only does cancer have a physical impact on people but a big mental impact aswell, also tearing families apart at the same time leaving behind a lot of pain and loss.
I also would like to mention my amazing kind and loving uncle who was sadly taken from us too young. He is my inspiration and determination for this 100 mile run that I will now complete for as long as it goes on to raise as much as I can so that we can fund a cure for this horrible illness.
