I'm taking on 10,000 steps every day in February for Young Lives vs Cancer.

I’m taking on 10,000 steps every day in February for Young Lives vs Cancer.

Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day, 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news that they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today.

Just a £26 donation could fund an hour of support from a Young Lives vs Cancer specialist social worker, ensuring children, young people and families always have someone by their side throughout their cancer journey.

£70 could pay for a night in a Young Lives vs Cancer Home from Home, a free place for families to stay close to specialist hospitals when their child is going through treatment, keeping families together.

Thank you for your support.

10,000 Steps, One Important Cause

Wednesday 4th Feb
This month, I’ve set myself a challenge: 10,000 steps every single day — not just for fitness, but for something much bigger than me.
I’m walking to raise money for Young Lives vs Cancer, a charity that supports children and young people facing cancer, and their families, through what is often the hardest time of their lives.
Cancer doesn’t just affect health — it affects education, mental wellbeing, finances, and family life. Young Lives vs Cancer helps make sure that no young person has to face that alone. They provide vital support like social workers, practical advice, and emotional care when it’s needed most.
Why walking?
Walking is something I can fit into everyday life — before work, after dinner, on the treadmill, or squeezing in steps wherever I can. Some days it’s easy. Some days it really isn’t. But every step is a reminder of why I’m doing this.
There are days when 10,000 steps feels like a lot. But for the young people and families this charity supports, their challenge is far greater — and they don’t get to opt out.
How you can help
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it truly makes a difference. Every contribution helps Young Lives vs Cancer continue their incredible work supporting young people when they need it most.
If you can’t donate right now, sharing this page or cheering me on is just as appreciated — encouragement goes a long way on those long-step days!
Thank you so much for reading, supporting, and being part of this journey with me.
I’ll keep walking — step by step — and I’m grateful to have you alongside me 💛
