Saturday 31st Aug We did it... I made Dad make us a mini 'finish line' for outr final walk this evening 🥇🥈🥉 We have thoroughly enjoyed our walks over the course of the month and even more that we've done it for a good cause! ❤️ I've checked my fitbit data, and although I haven't done ALL of the miles with the boys, the fitbit said we've done an average of 1.85 miles a day which is 57.35 miles over the month! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 Well done to Jacob and Austin for completing the challenge and dragging me along too ♥ ♥ ♥ Share

Day 30 ✅

Saturday 31st Aug I wimped out of this walk, I was really struggling with foot pain- so I cheated and took the boys to Ninja Warrior assault course... They were crazy little ninjas working up a sweat (it was disgusting 😂) I'm certain they got their mile in +more. For the theme of Hero's today - I struggled again... It would have been so easy to post a photo of the boys with the blood bike we saw in tesco or the police car we sat in at a car show... Or the fire engine at the open day on Saturday but what truly is a hero? I spoke with the boys and they immediately said - grandad! He was diagnosed as terminal and given 2-12 months... We are now 21 months since that diognosis and about to go on holiday with him. He shows the fight of a gladiator in the face of the worst possible news and continues to fight on-fitter than ever-everyday for those that he loves. He is my boys hero, their 'Best Friend' and we are all so glad he's still here with us! (I'm not crying... You are!) ♥ Share

Thursday 29th Aug I struggled with the gold theme to be honest... We d looked everywhere on our walk for a gold door, gold fence, gold car... A GOLD-en labrador would have done 😂. I was tempted to check the shop on the way home for a Gold Bar but didn't have my purse... We walk into the house and this was staring us in the face... A Gold champions league football... Just Jacob in the photo as Austin doesn't like ⚽ Share

Thursday 29th Aug Today the boys are staying with their nanna whilst we are off to a wedding. She knows how important the walks are to the boys so she arranged the boys cousin to come and walk the dog with them to get in their daily mile... Here is a photo of the gorgeous doggo in question - Teddy! He is very attentive on the perfect wine pour 😂 Share

Saturday 24th Aug A late night mile after a busy day tonight... The boys make sure we get our mile in no matter how busy we've been... Theme of the day is HOLIDAY so I've added a family pic from our last holiday in Greece! We will be back there very soon 🇬🇷 Share

Friday 23rd Aug The boys have been fishing with their grandad today. Supervised by Nannie. We visited them this afternoon and watched them catch loads of little fish 🎣 I highly expect they have walked their mile BUT on the off chance they hadn't daddy dropped us off up the road on the way home and we walked back... Making up our mile... ☺ Share

Friday 23rd Aug (late posting AGAIN) We spent the day on the canals... On a rented boat... With friends! It was a great day learning how to open and close locks and all that comes with boat life. The boys loved it. It may not have been a technical mile Walked but a fair few miles sailed. Share

Monday 19th Aug We just managed to avoid rain showers today. Neon was the theme... We did have some neon hair gel but it didn't show up very well = so thank goodness for a Snapchat filter 👍🏻 (they were smiling no matter what the photo suggests) Share

Friday 16th Aug We visited Barmouth Beach for the day... Did plenty of walking and paddling in the sea. My fitbit battery died at approx 12000 steps. (5+miles) but I think we can add on easily another 1 or 2 miles. It was an absolutely gorgeous day filled with fish and chips, donuts, ice cream and sunshine! Our photo for the TRANSPORT theme of the day is the bumper cars ... BUT we did also see RNLI lifeboats, camper vans and air ambulance and steam trains... But this won the vote 👍🏻 Share

Thursday 15th Aug Stripes were today's theme. Took advantage of the mcdonald's zebra crossing. A little treat for the boys after a full day's fishing with grandad! 🎣 🎣 Share

Sunday 11th Aug A day of Adventure. A day round Walsall Arboretum complete with splash pad and a treasure hunt around the local area finding their namesake STREET SIGNS. Jacob = Jacobs Hall Lane Great Wyrley Austin = Austin Cote Lane Lichfield. Share

Wednesday 7th Aug A week in and 5.7 miles logged on today's tracker! We were wandering around town before 8am this morning to get photos with our street art! The elephant trail in Lichfield. Share

Monday 5th Aug Day out with nan & grandad today whilst I was at work, so no route to post, but 3.5 miles logged on activity trackers 👍🏻 We struggled with the CITY theme today but here's a photo of Austin's Lego CITY - currently under construction 🚧 Share

Sunday 4th Aug Flowers were the theme of the day on our big walk around Walsall Arboretum. My walking app showed I walked 1.8 miles... I checked the boys activitiy trackers and theirs read 3 miles!!! All the back and forth on their scooters 😂 Share

Saturday 3rd Aug The theme of the day was SHADOWS. So we had a game of Dino adventure golf with shadows included... Another 1 mile walk this evening AND a cheeky game of tennis in the middle! ❤️❤️ Share
