My Updates

Day 24 - Thursday 7th August

Thursday 7th Aug
Today Tayla & Hannah did a walk into town and back (easily over a mile) as Hannah had her hair cut for the Princess Trust. Well done girls, so proud of you both 😍.

DAY 21 - STORM FLORIS

Thursday 7th Aug
Heres the video as promised. Hope it works 🤞

Late update 🤦‍♀️😫

Thursday 7th Aug
So another hectic few days and a not so happy boy (not to mention Storm Floris) and yet again I have fallen behind here, so I do apologise!

From Sunday 3rd August upto Wednesday 6th August (days 20-23) we were all actively covering our mile (girls moreso 🤣) despite the storm preventing us getting out safely on Monday.
I don't have photos to add unfortunately as being home with my son (Kai - severely disabled) its not been easy to get out with him every day but we are all keeping going regardless and keeping our promise.
I do have a video of girls indoors on Monday and will see if I can add it here in minute 🤞 to brighten up your day a little.
As of yesterday - Day 23 - a total of 35 miles have been clocked up by us all so really we have reached our goal and extra but we will continue for the 31 days best we can 😊 so please everybody keep donating any little you can to help us reach our new £500 goal in the next 7 days!
Thank you all x

Day 19 - SATURDAY 2ND

Sunday 3rd Aug
When the weather is good we have to enjoy it so today we took a lovely walk along Thurso River and around the duck pond. Not only are we clocking up our miles but all really enjoying it to 😍. I've added more photos to the gallery for anyone not local that hasn't visited before so you can all see where we were today.

Day 18 - Friday 1st Aug

Friday 1st Aug
So for August young lives vs cancer started the daily challenges for the mile walks and today was wear Pink. We started with a whole family swim (no photos as I was in the pool today to) So myself, Dad (Kenny), Papa Ken, Big Brother Kai, Big Sister Ellie, TAYLA & KASSIA - (wearing pink), all had a splashing time 😊. All supervised by Nanna Kathleen. After recovering from swimming Tayla (wearing pink) and Hannah did 1.5mile walk with our pup Oreo again so between us all we really are stacking up the miles everyday.

Day 17 - Thursday 31st

Friday 1st Aug
Another hectic day in the life of our crazy madhouse. Unfortunately I had to miss out on todays walk but the girls really proved how grown up they are becoming by doing 1.5miles together with our pup Oreo unsupervised. Hannah took my role as photographer so although you can't see her she was there behind the lense 😊. So proud of them all for being so dedicated that they could go on without me!

Day 16 - Wednesday 30th

Friday 1st Aug
So we are trying to be back on track today. Our car is currently off the road so unfortunately we can't venture far and share more lovely surroundings but we can enjoy some family time as Dad (Kenny to Hannah 😊) and our boy Kai and our pup Oreo all joined us for a mile close to home. Doesn't matter where we are as long as we together!

Tuesday 29th

Friday 1st Aug
Ok so today should have been our day 16 of challenge (and I'm sure between myself & the girls doing all our usual daily stuff we definately did a few miles) but we didn't track unfortunately.
Sometimes life just gets to hectic & stressfull as I'm sure you all know!
This by no means, means we are quitting our challenge, it just means a slight delay that couldn't be helped.
It's a good job we are ahead on our miles per day isn't it 😊

Gallery update

Monday 28th Jul
I have just added some extra photos to the page gallery so everyone can get a better of idea if what we have been up to and you can see what happy fun loving girls Tayla, Kassia & Hannah all are.
They are all really enjoying this challenge I hope that shines through to you all while browsing 😍.
Thank you all again for all your support!

DAY 15 - MONDAY 28TH

Monday 28th Jul
Today all 3 girl's (no group photos sorry) went horse riding (so technically the horse's did the walking 🤣) but the girls have been working so hard and they were still all moving so it counts I'm sure!

DAY 14 - SUNDAY 27TH

Monday 28th Jul
No photos today sorry. The way these girls never stop moving I'm very sure they must top far more miles everyday than we actually monitor/count 😊 but I can say a mile was definately done walking & bouncing 🤣.

Day 13- Saturday 26th

Sunday 27th Jul
Day started at the swimming pool again! And then an extra fun day for us all with dad to at Halkirk Highland Games. We stopped counting after 3 miles 😊 Weather was lovely for most of the time and then in true scottish style we got absolutely soaked going for the bus home.

Goal Smash 😍

Friday 25th Jul
Because the girls have been so very amazing in just 12 days we have decided to increase our goal from £300 to £500.
Its not to be greedy, its to hopefully give the families that really need it the chance to focus on and fight for their little ones without financial worry for a short while.
So come on everyone, you've all been so very generous already but please lets see if we can smash this next goal!
Thank you from us all. ❤️

Day 12 - Friday 24th

Friday 25th Jul
2.5 windy but warm miles today. A wonderful walk along victoria walk through to Burnside park & back again, taking in the beautiful views and wildlife.

Day 11 - Thursday 24th

Friday 25th Jul
1.5 miles with Bikes & Scooters. Followed of course by another play in the park 😍.

Day 10 - Wednesday 23rd

Friday 25th Jul
1 mile walk & play in park

Day 9 - Tuesday 22nd

Friday 25th Jul
1 mile walk & wild flower hunt. Always fun!

Days 6, 7, 8

Monday 21st Jul
Day 6 - Swimming with dad & walking. Day 7 - walking and park. Day 8- walking in the rain! 14 miles in total ❤️ not a bad start to our summer challenge!

Day 5 (actually today)

Friday 18th Jul
The photo represents how we are feeling today 🤦‍♀️🤣 so it was a day of retail therapy for the girls after all there hard work this week! They were amazed how they can do a mile (and more) without realising! BnM you have alot to answer for!! 🤣🤣🤣

Day 4

Friday 18th Jul
Another scorcher of a day and all a bit worn out from the Day 3 long beach walk so today was easier with a combo of walking & swimming.

Day 3 - Beach

Friday 18th Jul
Today was scorcher so what better way to enjoy it than a 4 mile walk (and paddle) from Castletown to Dunnet Beach and back, with of course the obligatory shell/crab hunt 😊. Oh and plenty of Jellyfish to!

Day 2

Tuesday 15th Jul
Day 2 complete with 1.5 mile bike ride followed by play at local skate park 😊

Day 1

Monday 14th Jul
1st mile done in the swimming pool today 😊

Cancer Awareness

Sunday 29th Jun
People of any age can suffer with and/or be affected by cancer in many ways and its important to us that children understand this. Not only do our girls (and Hannah) understand this but they want to do something to help this summer.
Most children will unknowingly do much more than a mile a day so why not put that to good use and help those that need it.
So please everybody, even a penny each will soon add up. For the girls to reach their target would be amazing, to beat it would be even better. Thank you x
