Steph's Challenge Bonanza
Me who loves a bit sit-down more than most is going to get up and active for Young Lives vs Cancer. I'm starting with 30 Days of Fitness in Jan, moving onto 5000 Skips in February, a World Cancer Day cold water dip and finishing with Run100 miles in March. Yikes writing that out felt like a lot!
You probably know that I work here and I think the charity are great but did you know that families can spend up to £700 more when their child has cancer, paired with a more than £6,000 annual loss in income. That is shocking, imagine spending £700 more a month on top of the unbearable worry that your child is unwell. Young Lives vs Cancer provide grants, specialised Social Workers and free accomodation when families need it most.
If you can donate that would be amazing, every little goes a long way - if you can't, please send words of support and help share my page which will be very much appreciated!
Join me in supporting a good cause, your contribution will make a big impact, whether you donate £5 or £500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.
Children and young people with cancer are facing a winter without the magic that many of us hope for. Instead of making precious memories with their family, treatment means that they’re facing weeks spent many miles from home.
But cancer doesn’t have to mean families are torn apart. That special moments are lost. You can keep families together this winter.
£23 could pay for an hour of support from a Young Lives vs Cancer social worker, so that children and young people with cancer, and their families, get the right care and support at the right time
£60 could pay for a night in a Young Lives vs Cancer Homes from Home, a free place for families to stay close to specialist hospitals when their child is going through treatment, keeping families together.

Cold Water Dip and Skipping!
Thursday 6th Feb Still going strong - I enjoyed a 5 degree cold water dip on World Cancer Day early in the morning before work. It was freezing!
Days 12-21
Wednesday 22nd Jan Stiiiilll going! A mix of pilates, runs, walks (minimum 15k steps a day) are getting me through. Share
Days 8-11
Sunday 12th Jan Think I'm losing count of the days but I've not stopped on the fitness - I'm on day 4 of pilates now, I think yesterday I maybe did around 2.5 hours and my thighs are tired. So tired. Another 2.5 today hours today and then one massive sleep! Share
Days 5-7
Wednesday 8th Jan Day 5 was a yoga class, day 6 a pilates class and day 7 a pilates workout at home with Oatcake getting very excited about the mat. I am tired! Share
Days 2-4
Sunday 5th Jan Day 2 I completed a hard pilates class on already shakey legs. Day 3 I walked 23k steps around Cheltenham in the freezing cold (regular cake stops), day 4 I avoided the rain and did a variety of hiit workouts in my room for my neighbours amusement. I haated it. Share
Day 1 - dazzled by the sun
Thursday 2nd Jan Charmed by the sun and new year energy I signed up for this monumental challenge. Huge for me whose absolute favourite passtime is sleep. Today I ticked off day 1 with an unexpectedly fierce pilates class with so many clams I fear for my legs tomorrow. Share
