10,000 Steps a Day in February

My Activity Tracking

Steps

My target 280000 Steps

I'm taking on 10,000 steps every day in February for Young Lives vs Cancer.

Every day, 12 children and young people are told the heartbreaking words that they have cancer. Young Lives vs Cancer are there to help families find strength, support, and hope through the toughest moments — making sure no one has to face it alone.

If you’re able to support, even the smallest donation makes a huge difference:

✨ £26 could fund an hour of specialist support for a child or family when they need it most.

✨ £70 could pay for a night in a Home from Home, keeping families close to their child while they’re going through treatment.

I’d be so grateful for any support, shares, or kind words — every step really does count.

Thank you for standing with me 🤍

My Updates

Being me

Monday 2nd Feb

Five days ago, I had carpal tunnel surgery.

My hand is still sore. Healing is still happening. Rest is technically what I’m “supposed” to be doing.

But here I am — lacing up my trainers and choosing to show up anyway.

This February, I committed to walking 10,000 steps a day for 28 days straight for Young Lives vs Cancer. And even just days after surgery, that commitment still stands.

Not because it’s easy.

Not because I feel 100%.

But because what I’m facing is temporary — and what young people fighting cancer face is anything but.

Every single day, 12 children and young people in the UK are told they have cancer. Their worlds change in an instant. Young Lives vs Cancer step in at that exact moment — offering practical help, emotional support, and a lifeline to families trying to survive the unimaginable.

Some days, my steps are slow.

Some days, my body complains loudly.

But every step is taken with purpose.

✨ £26 can fund an hour of specialist support for a young person or family navigating cancer.

✨ £70 can provide a night in a Home from Home, keeping families close to their child during treatment — because no one should face that alone.

This challenge isn’t about perfection.

It’s about persistence.

It’s about showing up, even when it hurts, for those who don’t get a choice.

If you’re able to donate, share, or simply support from the sidelines, please know it means more than you realise. Healing can happen alongside purpose — and together, step by step, we can make a difference.

Thank you for walking this journey with me 🤍
