I'm taking on 100 miles in March for Young Lives vs Cancer.
I am walking over 100 miles this March to raise money for young lives vs cancer.
Two years ago, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer after finding a lump in my neck the size of a golf ball, (not my normal accessory!)
One thing cancer teaches you is that it doesn’t just affect the person diagnosed; it affects everyone who loves them too.
That’s why I’m raising money for Young Lives vs Cancer, an incredible charity that supports children and young adults with cancer, and their families, through some of the toughest times.
They provide so much more than practical support, they create a sense of normality when life feels anything but normal. From events with other young people who have a diagnosis, to opportunities to do something special and bring a plus one (because everything is better with snacks and moral support), they make a real difference during and after treatment.
I religiously hit my 10,000 steps a day - rain, shine, sideways wind, So I thought… why not turn my slightly obsessive step-counting habit into something positive? I’m setting myself the challenge to smash the 100 miles and raise money along the way.
If you’re able to donate, whether it’s the price of a coffee or more, you’ll be helping young people and their families feel supported, understood and a little less alone.
