I’m taking on 10,000 steps every day in February for Young Lives vs Cancer.
This February, I’m walking 10,000 steps every day for Young Lives vs Cancer, a charity that has supported us through the hardest time imaginable.
Our daughter Amelia was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) on the 18th of August, just before midnight. Since then, life has been filled with chemotherapy, long hospital days and nights, and the constant worry of protecting her from things most children fight off easily. Watching your child battle cancer changes you forever.
Amelia has been incredibly brave, and nothing will ever take that away from her. But the support Young Lives vs Cancer have given her — and us — has helped in so many ways, bringing light into some of our darkest moments and putting smiles on her face when we needed them most.
When we felt lost, scared, and overwhelmed, they were there — guiding us, supporting us, giving us guidance, practical support, and moments of comfort and joy for Amelia when she needed it most.
Every step I take is for Amelia, and for every child and family facing childhood cancer.

Mila is an absolute fighter as she has you and Dan as parents and all of her siblings around her for support. I have no idea how you find the strength to do what you both do. You’re both an inspiration to anyone else that is going through something like this. Looking forward to when the weather improves and hopefully we can meet up somewhere outside as I know Holly would love to see Mila 💗💗💗
