We're taking on the Kids' Summer Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer, and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate £5 or £500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.

Young Lives vs Cancer helps families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day, 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news that they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today.

Just a £26 donation could fund an hour of support from a Young Lives vs Cancer specialist social worker, ensuring children, young people and families always have someone by their side throughout their cancer journey.

£70 could pay for a night in a Young Lives vs Cancer Home from Home, a free place for families to stay close to specialist hospitals when their child is going through treatment, keeping families together.

Day 31 - Last day of my challenge

Monday 31st Aug
I can't believe today is my last day of my challenge. I have absolutely loved doing the challenge. I am so greatful to everyone who has supported me and helped me. I'm so happy and proud of how much I've raised. It really will make such a difference. I finished my challenge with a great bike ride, we rode back with friends too which was lot's of fun. Thank you everyone again ❤️ Love Darcie x

Day 30 - Museum Trip

Monday 31st Aug
Yesterday we went into Birmingham with my Daddy. We went to Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. We then had an afternoon in Birmingham mooching round the shops. It was lot's of fun. Love Darcie x

Day 29 - Shopping trip

Monday 31st Aug
Saturday I was with my Daddy. We spent the afternoon shopping so I definitely got my mile in walking round the shops 🛍 Love Darcie x

Day 28 - Walk

Monday 31st Aug
Friday we had a walk down the Saltline with Mummy's friend. We just managed to escape the rain on our walk. Love Darcie x

Day 27 - Bike Ride

Thursday 27th Aug
I was back on my bike tonight for my 1 mile. I was happy the rain stopped while I was out, my legs were still covered in mud tho when I got home 😆 Love Darcie x

Day 26 - Family Walk

Yesterday we had a family walk to complete my mile. Love Darcie x

Day 25 - Walk

Tuesday 25th Aug
Today I had a walk with StepDad to complete my 1 mile. We had a walk into the village and back. Love Darcie x

Day 24 - Little Morton Hall

Tuesday 25th Aug
We spent a really lovely afternoon with Nanna exploring Little Morton Hall. It was really fun to look round the house and play and run around in the gardens. We really enjoyed our day. Love Darcie x

Day 23 - Family Walk

Monday 24th Aug
A nice family walk around the village yesterday. We played a hunt for things on our walk and I got the most 😄 Ended with a packet of jelly tots from the shop. I can't believe I've hit my challenge for 31 miles in the month too. Il keep going each day still, nearly the end of the month 😀❤️ Love Darcie x

Day 22 - Skyglow Festival

Saturday 22nd Aug
We had such a fun day at the festival. I've danced, ran, walked, played football and skipped to get my miles in today. I made a really nice friend today called Sam. Lots of memories made while doing my miles. Love Darcie x

Day 21 - I'm Back

Saturday 22nd Aug
Hello, sorry for no updates the past few day's on my mile. We have been away with our Nanny and Grandpa. Back to home now and got straight out on my bike with my Sister yesterday. I've missed my bike this week but enjoyed being away with my family. My mile on the beach this week was probably my favourite, more shells collected for Mummy too. I can't believe I have just over a week of my challenge left. It's gone so fast. Love Darcie x

Day 17 - Soft Play

Monday 17th Aug
Today I've been to a soft play with my cousins and spent the afternoon running around there to complete my mile. We had lots of fun 😀 Love Darcie x

Day 16 - Run around Grandpa's allotment 🥕🥔🥬🌽

We are away with our Nanny and Grandpa this week. Yesterday I had a run around my Grandpa's allotment to do my mile ☺️ Love Darcie x

Day 15 - Walk with Creek and Mable

Saturday 15th Aug
We had a really lovely family walk today with Daddy. We took the dogs, Creek and Mable out for a long walk. 🐕 We stopped for a play on the zip wire too ☺️ Love Darcie x

Day 14 - Bike ride

Friday 14th Aug
We are back home from our holiday today. I biked while my Stepdad ran alongside me. It was still a really warm afternoon so we did 4 miles around the village. Love Darcie x

Day 13 - Beach Day

Thursday 13th Aug
Today we have been to the beach again ⛱️ It's been another beautiful day. I've had so much fun running around the beach with my family and having a walk along collecting shells 🐚 Love Darcie x

Day 12 - Walk like a crab 🦀

Yesterday we had a great day and went to a Marine lake. We had a train ride round, caught lots of crabs and had a walk to finish the afternoon. We asked the train driver how long round it was and he said 1 mile so that was perfect for my challenge. Love Darcie x

Day 11 - From a sunny seaside

Tuesday 11th Aug
Hello everyone. Sorry I didn't post yesterday. I've caught up today with my 1 mile and done 4 miles today. We have had a really lovely walk around Llandudno and the beach at Prestatyn. My miles today included the sea and sand which was so much fun. My dog Max absolutely loved it today too. I think we will all sleep well tonight. With that I best go to bed. Love Darcie x

Day 9 - Bike ride

Sunday 9th Aug
Today I've been out on my bike. I've done lots of laps round the park and even took my Dog around with me. We biked too and from the park too. I fell off my bike today going down the skateramp. I was okay, just a grazed knee to go with my already grazed elbow. Love Darcie x

Day 8 🌞

Saturday 8th Aug
We went to visit Grandad and and Lou in their campervan. My 1 mile tonight was really fun, I ran, cartwheeled, had wheelbarrow races and walked to complete it with my family too. Thank you for all the donations I keep getting. We are all so greatful. Love Darcie x

Day 7 - Walk and roll

Saturday 8th Aug
7 days of doing my challenge have gone so fast. I'm still really enjoying it and looking forward to going out each day. 
We had a walk down the Salt line today with Mummy's friend and then a stop at the park. Later in the day we went to another park and I wheeled round on my new heeleys too. 
2 miles done over the day ❤️ Love Darcie x

Day 6 -Family Walk

Thursday 6th Aug
Today I completed a 2 mile walk with my Mum and Sister's. We made a stop to see my Nanna with some birthday gifts for her and a piece of cake for energy 😋 On our way home we picked a parcel up from the shop, maybe my next mile should be on wheels 😄 Love Darcie x

Donation Target

Thursday 6th Aug
We have been absolutely blown away by how generous everyone has been and the support behind Darcie. She smashed her £100 target in the first day and now on almost £300 which is just amazing. We have decided to raise her target to £350 as there's still alot of the month to go and lots more miles in Darcie to go. If anyone else could please share the page, donate or just share words of encouragement we would be so thankful and greatful. The difference we are making could be life changing to a family affected by cancer. Thank you so so much. Love Darcie and Mummy x

Day 5 - Sister Bike Ride

Thursday 6th Aug
It was another fun ride yesterday with my two sisters riding along next to me. Still enjoying the challenge and looking forward to my 1 mile each day. Love Darcie x

Day 4 - Bike Ride

Wednesday 5th Aug
I did a bike ride last night for day 4 of my challenge. I went out with my Stepdad and Sisters. We got soaking wet while we were out and I went to the bike jumps too so it was fun. Love Darcie x

Day 3 - Fun walk with friends

Monday 3rd Aug
Today we walked to the library with our friends and had lots of fun on the way. We were pretending to be on a train. Thank you for joining us for our 1 mile today. Love Darcie x

Day 2 - 10K bike ride

Monday 3rd Aug
Yesterday I went on a bike ride to complete my daily challenge with my Stepdad. We went down the Salt line and saw some beautiful Sunflowers at the end. I came off my bike at the start of my ride but I was okay, just a scraped elbow but I was happy to carry on. We did a 10K with a few water stops on the way 😊❤️ Love Darcie x

My first Mile

We went for a walk as a family around Westport lake. It was a really sunny afternoon so it was a very enjoyable walk. We tracked it so I knew when it had been a mile. Really happy I've done my first mile. Tomorrow I hope to do it on my bike. Love Darcie x
