I'm running 100 miles for Young Lives vs Cancer.
I'm taking on the Run 100 Miles Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer. I will be running 100 miles in March to support children and young people with cancer.
Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today.
- £20 could pay for a coat for a child or young person with cancer, to help keep them warm through the winter months when they really feel the cold due to treatment
- £60 could pay for a night in a Young Lives vs Cancer Homes from Home, a free place for families to stay close to specialist hospitals when their child is going through treatment, keeping families together
Join me in supporting a good cause, your contribution will make a big impact, whether you donate £5 or £500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.

Ernie's Journey
Monday 17th FebOur son, Ernie, was diagnosed with a Stage-3 Wilms Tumour in January 2024 at the age of 2. It’s safe to say it was not what we were expecting, and for our child to be diagnosed with cancer, our world was turned upside down. We are pleased to say that in October 2024, after 1-month of chemotherapy, surgery to remove a 0.8kg tumour and a kidney, 8-rounds of radiotherapy and a further 7-months of chemotherapy, he was given the all clear with no more signs of cancer cells. Ernie is still at risk of relapsing – a 15% chance in the next 2-years – and will be having quarterly scans until he is 7, along with heart scans for the rest of his life. But, we have a chance of looking forward for the first time in a while.
My wife, Jade, and I have signed up to run 100-miles in
March in support of a charity very close to heart and one that supported us
throughout 2024 – Young
Lives vs Cancer. It was the hardest of years for Ernie and our family, but
it was made that tony bit easier with their support. When Ernie had his major
surgery in Bristol, we were provided with accommodation close to the hospital,
with a private room at CLIC
House. It provided a home away from home for us as a family, all supported
by your donations. We were also assigned a Social
Worker from the charity, who was there for us throughout. Our Social
Worker, Rachel, was so supportive, sharing information on support available to
us as well as spending some time with our daughter to talk to her about her emotions
and what was happening to her brother.
