5k a Day in June 2026

I’m taking on 5k a Day in June for Young Lives vs Cancer.

I’ll be completing 5k every day from 1st to 30th June to help raise vital funds for children and young people with cancer.

Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today.

Just a £26 donation could fund an hour of support from a Young Lives vs Cancer specialist social worker, ensuring children, young people and families always have someone by their side throughout their cancer journey.

Thank you for your support.

What a difference a few mo the makes

Friday 5th Jun
I did my first 5k ever on February 14th this year…. Since then I’ve ran 3-4 5ks a week, I’ve cycled 200 miles in 3.5 days around Normandy, France and I’ve even climbed a mountain in Spain! All firsts All in my 40s All terrified me All because i decided to get off my bottom and move I struggle every day with thoughts of not wanting to do it but I know that the feeling after (and actually now during and sometime before) is the best feeling… my body works! Still after all these years! It’s never too late to get a new hobby and move your body!

🏃‍♂️ 30 Days, 150 Kilometers: Why I’m Running 5K a Day This June

Sunday 31st May

Hello friends, family, and kind strangers!

If you told me at the start of the year that I would be willingly running every single day for a month, I would have laughed. Loudly.

I only started running in February, but somewhere between the cold winter mornings and the fresh spring air, a funny thing happened: I absolutely fell in love with it. The clarity, the energy, the challenge—I'm hooked.

So, I’ve decided to channel this newfound passion into something much bigger than myself.

I am taking on a massive personal challenge by running 5K every single day for the entire month of June.

That’s 150 kilometers (about 93 miles) in 30 days. No rest days, no excuses.

Why Young Lives vs Cancer?

I am raising funds for Young Lives vs Cancer, an incredible charity that helps children, young people, and their families navigate the absolute storm of a cancer diagnosis. They provide financial, emotional, and practical support when life gets turned completely upside down.

This cause hits incredibly close to home. Cancer has affected me and my family more than once. We know firsthand the toll it takes, the bravery it requires, and how vital a strong support system is.

I’m laced up and so incredibly excited to take this on, but I can’t do it alone.

Every single penny helps. Seriously. Whether it's the cost of a takeaway coffee or a larger donation, every bit of your support will push me through those tough kilometers and, more importantly, make a real difference to young people facing cancer.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity, your love, and your support. X
