We're taking on the Kids' Summer Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer, and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate £5 or £500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.

Young Lives vs Cancer helps families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day, 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news that they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today.

Just a £26 donation could fund an hour of support from a Young Lives vs Cancer specialist social worker, ensuring children, young people and families always have someone by their side throughout their cancer journey.

£70 could pay for a night in a Young Lives vs Cancer Home from Home, a free place for families to stay close to specialist hospitals when their child is going through treatment, keeping families together.

Fun fair

Monday 31st Aug
Yesterday afternoon was so busy! We walked over to the fun fair where the girls rode their 1st roller coaster and had fun on the swing ride. Afterwards they jumped on the trampoline and then went swimming in the pool with a giant inflatable bouncy castle!

Beach walk

Sunday 30th Aug
Yesterday we took Robbie dog for a walk along the beach and had a paddle in the sea. We then when for a walk along Scarborough front, stopping for an ice cream and a go on the Bumper cars at Luna Park before walking back to the car. A very busy morning- followed by an afternoon and evening of swimming and dancing, very energetic day!

Stretford summer trail

Monday 24th Aug
Had a go at the Stretford summer trail while out at the shops today followed by a walk around the park.

Day out at Tatton Park

Sunday 23rd Aug
Exploring the gardens and hunting for Winnie the Pooh, seeing all the animals at the farm and getting lost in the maize maze.

Head over heels

Wednesday 19th Aug
Another busy day, spend the morning running around head over heels and then walked over to Grandads house where they helped take Robbie dog for a walk.

Colour hunt

Tuesday 18th Aug
Braved the rain to go on a colour hunt around the park. They wore their heart tops to fit in with today’s challenge. ♥️♥️

Library and park

Monday 17th Aug
Busy day today, the girls completed their reading challenge at the library today and then spent a couple hours at the park.

Wythenshaw Park

Sunday 16th Aug
Had a lovely walk around Wythenshaw park, looking at all the animals, playing in the playground and enjoying the bouncy castle. Finished off the day with Slushies which changed their happy smiles to bright green! 😝😝💚💚

Fire station

Saturday 15th Aug
This evening we took a walk over to the fire station to drop off thank you cards.

Park walk with Robbie and Grandad

Friday 14th Aug
We didn’t manage to hit the dog challenge yesterday but we did today as we took Robbie dog out for a walk around the park with Grandad

Eclipse spotting

Friday 14th Aug
Wednesday night we went for a walk around the park and looked for a good spot to view the eclipse with the viewer we made.

Very hot park day

Wednesday 12th Aug
We braced the heat for a walk around the park, ending with a lovely cold drink at the pub to celebrate our last 2 miles!

Park walk

Tuesday 11th Aug
Had a lovely morning out in nature exploring around the park. Took some sausage rolls and snacks and had a mini picnic in the playground. Beautiful weather to add another mile to our challenge.

Running errands

Monday 10th Aug
Busy day running errands, we hit the shops stopped at the library and ended with the park. Ran into some of the girls friends so they got plenty of steps in running all over the playground!

Dunham Massey

Sunday 9th Aug
Explored the gardens at Dunham Massey, had a play on some of the instruments available during their summer of play and found a reindeer!

Chester zoo

Friday 7th Aug
Enjoying the lovely sunny weather as we walked around Chester Zoo. 6 miles down and officially over half way through our 31 miles!

Emergency services day

Thursday 6th Aug
Today’s miles were spent exploring all the different stands at the emergency services day and collecting stickers.

Airport pub

Tuesday 4th Aug
Challenge 4 transport Starting off today’s challenge with a run around Manchester Airport at the airport pub. Great way to burn off some energy and meet today’s transport challenge!

Canal walk down to the River Mersey

Monday 3rd Aug
Spent this afternoon walking along the canal, watching the boats and finished with a trip to McDonald’s for a McFlurry reward.

Pets at home

Sunday 2nd Aug
The girls wore their strawberry dresses for the 2nd challenge. Today’s Mile involved walking around the shops, ending with a trip to pets at home to join in with one of their animal workshops.

Walked to dance class

Saturday 1st Aug
The girls tried a new dance class today. We walked a mile round trip there and back and they probably doubled those steps with all the dancing. Wore pink for day one’s challenge!

Spending our pocket money

Friday 31st Jul
This afternoon we went for a walk around the park and the girls took their new purses and pocket money with them. Having a nice rest at home now eating the sweets they bought.

Epicland

Mile round trip to and from EPICLAND but they probably did another 10 miles running around while they were there 😂

First Mile Complete

Our first mile saw us exploring Sale, we watched the refract shows which were on and explored Sale Library and its animation exhibit.
