About the challenge
What is the challenge?
The challenge is simple. Get creative this August and organise a 12 hour tennis marathon, charity tournament, a play-and-pay event, or even a rally challenge. It's Your Game - Your Way.
Whether you're an ace on the court or just picking up a racket for the first time, every serve, every volley, and every rally will help make a difference in the lives of children and young people with cancer.
Let's ace this challenge together!
What can my Tennis-a-thon look like?
- 6 or 12 hours tennis-a-thon – gather as many people as possible to pay tennis for a long period of time
- Challenges – such as longest rally, keepy-uppys or aiming serves at targets
- Around the world challenges
- Fancy dress tennis
- A charity day at your tennis club or local courts, with a raffle, bake sale or stalls
You can find lots of different ideas online here. Let your imagination go wild, remember, it's your challenge, your way.

About Fundraising
How do I collect donations?
You will automatically be set up with a fundraiser when you sign up. You can also select to set up a Facebook Fundraiser and connect it to your main fundraising page. These are the easiest ways to collect your sponsorship. All donations come directly to Young Lives vs Cancer so you don’t have to worry about admin or bank transfers.
You can also fundraise offline. You will also receive a Young Lives vs Cancer sponsorship form with your swim hat. This can also be found in the Resources tab. To pay this in deposit your sponsorship into your own bank account and then pay it directly onto your fundraising page. Alternatively there are handy instructions on the form of how to pay this in on our website.
Is there a fundraising target?
We simply just ask everyone to raise as much as they can to support children and young people with cancer. The target is automatically set to £150 as people with higher targets on their pages raise the most. However there is no commitment to raise this.
