About the Tennis-a-thon Challenge

Join Ryan Peniston, professional British tennis player, and hundreds of others taking on the Tennis-a-thon Challenge this August for Young Lives vs Cancer to raise funds to support children and young people with cancer.

The challenge is simple. Get creative this August and organise a 12 hour tennis marathon, charity tournament, a play-and-pay event, or even a rally challenge. It's Your Game - Your Way.

Whether you're an ace on the court or just picking up a racket for the first time, every serve, every volley, and every rally will help make a difference in the lives of children and young people with cancer.

Ryan Peniston - Professional British Tennis Player

"I’m thrilled to be supporting Young Lives vs Cancer and their Tennis-a-thon challenge.  As a cancer survivor myself, I know firsthand the challenges that young people with cancer and their families face. At just one year old, I was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of childhood cancer.  After surgery and chemotherapy, I overcame my illness, but the treatment left its mark. I had to undergo further surgeries and deal with long-term side effects. Despite these challenges, I found my passion in tennis, which became a source of strength and motivation.

That’s why I’m so passionate about this cause and this challenge.  Young Lives vs Cancer provide vital support to children and young people during their cancer journey, helping them and their families cope with the emotional and financial strain.

This August, I’ll be taking part in the Tennis-a-thon, a fantastic fundraising event where we rally together to play tennis and raise money for this incredible charity.  Will you join me in this challenge? Whether you're a seasoned player or just picking up a racket for the first time, every serve, every volley, and every rally will help make a difference in the lives of children and young people with cancer."
