What is the Big Festive Fundraiser?
The Big Festive Fundraiser is a way to fundraise for Young Lives vs Cancer over the festive period. You can fundraise in whatever way you want. We have lots of ideas to tickle your tastebuds, and something to suit everyone.
Check out the Festive Fundraising Ideas page for lots of ideas. But remember, this is your Big Festive Fundraiser, so think BIG and think FESTIVE and do whatever suits you.
No matter what way you take part, every fundraiser makes a difference and you will definitely end up on Santa's Nice List!
How can I sign up?
Simply click the big Register button at the top of the page, or go to the registration form here
Pop in all your details and you will then have a fundraising page automatically set up for you, all ready to share and fundraise on.
You will also get an email to confirm your registration, which will contain the link to your fundraising page.
How do I log in to my page?
When you are on the Big Festive Fundraiser page, click Login in the top left and use the email address and password you used to register.
If on a mobile, either click the Person icon in the top right and again use the email and password you used to register.
Can I take part in more then one activity?
Oh yes, absolutely! You can take part in, host or orgainse as many of the Festive Fundraising ideas as you would like. In fact, the more the merrier!
Can I get any materials to help with my fundraising?
You certainly can. Once you are registered you can find a Santa sack full of resocures to help you with your fundraiser.
However, if you want additional materials, such as banners, balloons or collection boxes, drop us an email with your name, fundraiser idea and what you would like and we will get Santa's Elves on it for you.

Once you have registered, click on your name and in the drop down you will find the Resources.

What happens if I can't complete the challenge I set myself?
However, if you can’t complete your challenge, please don’t worry, just make sure to let your sponsors know. If you need any advice or support on completing your challenge, please email fundraisingevents@younglivesvscancer.org.uk
Can under 18's take part?
You must be over 18 to set up a fundraiser.
How can I share my page?
Here you will also find your page url, whihc you can simply copy and paste where ever you want to share.
I can no longer fundraise, how do I delete my page?
If you pop us an email to fundraisingevents@younglivesvscancer.org.uk with your name and email address you registered with, and we can delete your page for you.

Can I fundraise alone or part of a team?
This is the great thing about the Big Festive Fundraiser, you can do whatever you wish! You can do a big Festive Solo Fundraiser, or gather a team of friends, colleagues or family to fundraise together. You could even get your local community involved.
You can easily create a team for your friends, colleagues and family members to join by logging in to your page and under your name, click Dashboard. Here you will see an option to create a team.
Follow the instructions to set up your team and you can then share the team link with anyone who has regsitered and wants to join your team to fundraise together
Can we have more than one fundraising page if we are a school or group who want to do different things?
Yes, absolutely! You can set up as many pages as you want. Whoever wants to get involved, will just have to register to get their page. If you are a group doing a mixture of different things, but want to add your totals together, you can set up a team and all join.

How do I collect donations?
You will automatically be set up with a fundraiser when you sign up. This is the page you can share with everyone you know to collect your sponsorship. All donations come directly to Young Lives vs Cancer so you don’t have to worry about admin or bank transfers.
You can also fundraise offline. You can find a Young Lives vs Cancer sponsorship form in the Resources tab once you have regsitered to take part.
To pay this in, deposit your sponsorship into your own bank account and then pay it directly onto your fundraising page as an offline donation. Alternatively there are handy instructions on the form of how to pay this in on our website.
Is there a minimum amount I need to raise?
We simply ask everyone to raise as much as they can to support children and young people with cancer. The target is automatically set to £100 as people with targets on their pages raise the most. However there is no commitment to raise this. Every pound raised, will make a difference.
What happens if I don't hit my target or get any donations?
We get that fundraising is hard and asking people to donate to support you can feel overwhelming.
When sharing your page or asking people to support you, let them know why you are taking on the challenge and what your fundraising means to you.
If you are struggling, a big top tip, is to self donate to your own page. This not only kickstarts your fundraising, but also shows your supporters you are serious about taking on your challenge.
Remember, every penny and every pound helps.
