What is the big festive fundraiser?
For most families, winter is a time of warmth and togetherness. But for children and young people with cancer and their families, treatment means worries of separation and special moments lost. An act of support will mean families can be together in our Homes from Home this winter.
This festive season, join the Big Festive Fundraiser — a chance to come together, have fun, and raise vital funds for Young Lives vs Cancer.
Whether it’s a Jolly Jumper Day, festive quiz, bake sale or Santa Run, there are so many ways to get involved.
Every penny raised helps keep families stay together during treatment. So rally your colleagues, friends or community and bring joy, hope and togetherness to families this winter.
Will you be one of our BFFs?
Become a Big Festive Fundraiser today to get your downloadable fundraising guide and all the resources you need to make you the best BFF ever!
Why being a BFF can make a difference this festive season
Children and young people with cancer, and their families, are facing a winter without the magic that many of us hope for. Instead of making precious memories with their families, treatment means that they’re facing weeks spent many miles from home.
But your support changes everything.
It means the whole family can stay in our welcoming Homes from Home, close to specialist children’s cancer treatment centres. For families, it’s more than a free place to stay. It’s a place that feels like home. It's watching films under a blanket, baking treats or building snowmen in the garden.
Cancer doesn’t have to mean families are torn apart. That special moments are lost. You can keep families together this winter.
£26 could fund an hour of support from a Young Lives vs Cancer Specialist Social Worker, ensuring children, young people and families don't face cancer alone this winter
£70 could fund a night's stay at one of Young Lives vs Cancer's Homes from Home, allowing a family to stay close to their child during treatment and spend time together as a family this winter
£126 could power one of our Homes from Home for a week, keeping fairy lights on, festive films playing, and the kettle going for hot drink
