I’m taking on 5k a Day in June for Young Lives vs Cancer.

I’ll be completing 5k every day from 1st to 30th June to help raise vital funds for children and young people with cancer.

Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Make a donation and show your support today.

Just a £26 donation could fund an hour of support from a Young Lives vs Cancer specialist social worker, ensuring children, young people and families always have someone by their side throughout their cancer journey.

Thank you for your support.

Day 10 💛

Thursday 11th Jun
💛 Day 10 💛 Today’s run was a little reminder that life doesn’t always go to plan. I managed to get out early before the heavens opened and honestly, it felt amazing. The weather was fresh, my legs were feeling good again, and for the first time in a while I felt like I was properly getting back into my running groove. 🏃‍♀️✨ But then life happened. My mum forgot her keys at work, plans changed, and suddenly my run had to come to an end earlier than expected. I finished on 4K instead of my planned 5K. And you know what? That’s okay. A big part of this challenge has taught me that not every day is going to be perfect. Sometimes things come up. Sometimes you don’t hit the exact target you set yourself. Sometimes life gets in the way. But showing up still matters. Starting still matters. Making time for yourself still matters. And 4K is still 4K more than I would have done if I’d stayed in bed. 💛 So whilst Day 10 didn’t go exactly as planned, I’m still proud of myself for getting out there and doing what I could. Tomorrow is another day, another opportunity, and another chance to keep moving forward. Because progress isn’t about perfection—it’s about consistency. 10 days down. 💪 Thank you to everyone who’s supporting my challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer. Every donation, message and share means the world and helps keep me motivated on days like today. Onwards to Day 11 💛✨ #YoungLivesVsCancer #Day10 #5KChallenge #ProgressNotPerfection #RunningJourney #EveryStepCounts #Fundraising

🏃‍♀️ 💛 Day 9 Complete 💛

Wednesday 10th Jun
WE GOT SUNSHINE!!! ☀️🥹 After what feels like days of rain, wind, hail, thunderstorms and every other weather event known to mankind, I finally got to enjoy a proper outdoor 5K again. And honestly? It felt amazing. The last week has been a mix of running, walking, sore calves, treadmill sessions, and a lot of convincing myself to keep showing up. But today reminded me why I started. Fresh air. Sunshine. Endorphins. A clear head. The calves are finally behaving themselves again after some much-needed recovery, and it felt so good to get back outside and move. Today’s stats: 🏃‍♀️ 5.22km ⏱️ 66 minutes ❤️ Average HR: 110 One thing this challenge is teaching me is that progress isn’t always linear. Some days you’ll feel unstoppable, and some days you’ll be limping around with a massage gun attached to your leg 😭😂 But every single day I’ve shown up. That’s 9 days down and over 45km completed so far for Young Lives vs Cancer. 💛 A huge thank you to everyone who has donated, shared my page, followed my updates, or sent me encouragement. On the days when motivation is low, your support genuinely keeps me going. Here’s to double digits tomorrow! 💪✨ #YoungLivesVsCancer #Day9 #5KChallenge #Fundraising #EveryStepCounts #RunningJourney #SunnyRun #WeMove

💛 Days 6, 7 & 8 Complete 💛

Monday 8th Jun
A little challenge update! The weather has continued to be absolutely horrific 🌧️😭 and, if I’m honest, it’s made getting out there a lot harder than I expected. I definitely pictured myself running through sunny June evenings, not feeling like I was training for a marathon in the middle of November 😂 That being said, the challenge is still going strong. Over the last three days I’ve completed my 5K each day with a mix of running and brisk walking. It hasn’t looked exactly how I imagined when I started, but one thing this challenge is teaching me is that progress doesn’t have to be perfect. Some days you run. Some days you walk. Some days you do a bit of both. What matters is showing up. The good news is my calves are finally feeling much better! After a few days of easing off the pace, stretching, walking, and giving them a chance to recover, they’re no longer screaming at me every time I stand up 😂 I’m actually starting to miss proper running now and can’t wait to get back outside and enjoy a full run again when the weather decides to cooperate. We’re now over a week into the challenge, and I’m genuinely so grateful for everyone who has donated, shared my page, checked in on me, or followed along with my little running journey. Every kilometre is helping raise money for Young Lives vs Cancer and the incredible work they do supporting young people and families facing cancer. 8 days down. 💪 40K+ completed. 🏃‍♀️ A lot of rain endured. 🌧️😂 And we’re only just getting started. 💛 Thank you for all the support so far. It means more than you know. #YoungLivesVsCancer #5KChallenge #Day8 #Fundraising #RunningJourney #EveryStepCounts #WeMove #OneWeek

💛 Day 5 Complete 💛

Saturday 6th Jun
💛 Day 5 Complete 💛 Today’s challenge wasn’t the distance… it was convincing my calves that we were, in fact, moving again. 😭😂 The weather was absolutely disgusting (seriously, where is summer? 🌧️) and my calves are still screaming at me after the last few days, so I decided to swap the run for a treadmill walk. Was it glamorous? No. Did I spend a good portion of it negotiating with my legs? Absolutely. But the goal of this challenge isn’t to be perfect. It’s to keep showing up. So today’s 5K was completed from the comfort of the gym, watching the rain outside and reminding myself that every kilometre still counts. 💪 One thing I’m learning already is that consistency isn’t always about going harder. Sometimes it’s about knowing when to slow down, recover, and keep moving forward anyway. Hopefully the calves stop being dramatic soon because I am definitely missing the runner’s high and those post-run endorphins. There’s just something about finishing a run that hits differently. 🏃‍♀️✨ Until then, the treadmill and my massage gun remain my strongest relationships. 🤝😂 Thank you again to everyone supporting my challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer. Every donation, message, and share genuinely keeps me going on the days when motivation is a little harder to find. Day 5 ✅ 5K ✅ Calves ❌😭 Onwards to Day 6 💛 #YoungLivesVsCancer #5KChallenge #Day5 #Fundraising #EveryStepCounts #GymWalk #RecoveryDay #StillShowin

Day 5 completeee ✅💛

Friday 5th Jun
💛 Day 5 Complete 💛 I’m not going to lie… my calves are absolutely obliterated. 😭 After four days of running, my legs finally decided they’d had enough and were protesting every step. Between stretching, Deep Heat, and a serious intervention from my massage gun, I knew today wasn’t going to be a running day. So instead of pushing through and risking an injury, I decided to listen to my body. I grabbed my sister, took my dog, and headed out for a walk around our local national park. The plan was a relaxed “cute girl 5K walk” to keep the challenge going while giving my legs a bit of a break. Well… somehow that turned into 7K. 😂💁‍♀️ Honestly, it ended up being exactly what I needed. Fresh air, good company, happy dog, beautiful scenery, and a chance to appreciate that movement doesn’t always have to be fast to be valuable. One thing this challenge is teaching me is that consistency isn’t about going full speed every single day. It’s about showing up, adapting, and finding a way forward even when your body is asking for a slightly different approach. That being said, I really hope I can get back to running for a few more days this month because there is just something about running that I can’t quite explain. The endorphins, the sense of achievement, the feeling when you realise you’ve gone further than you thought you could… it’s honestly addictive in the best way. For now though, my calves and my massage gun are in a very committed relationship. 🤝😂 Thank you again to everyone who has donated, shared my page, and supported me throughout this challenge so far. Every kilometre, whether I’m running or walking, is helping raise money for Young Lives vs Cancer and the incredible support they provide to young people and families facing cancer. Day 5: complete. 💛 7K walked 🚶‍♀️ 1 happy dog 🐶 2 very sore calves 🦵😭 Countless reasons to keep going 💛 #YoungLivesVsCancer #Day5 #5KChallenge #Fundraising #EveryStepCounts #WalkingDay #SoreButStillShow

Day 4 completeeeee

Friday 5th Jun
Another bad weather day but that didn’t stop me from getting my 5k done!!!

Day 3 completeee✅💛

Wednesday 3rd Jun
💛 DAY 3 COMPLETE 💛 Today’s motivation levels were hanging on by a thread, I’m not going to lie 😂 The weather wasn’t exactly screaming “go for a run”, my to-do list was longer than my arm, and there was a very real temptation to tell myself I’d do it tomorrow. But that’s kind of the point of a challenge, right? Not every day feels inspiring. Not every day comes with blue skies, endless energy, and a perfectly clear schedule. So instead of overcomplicating it, I decided to combine my gym session with my 5K challenge and get it done. And honestly? It was actually such a vibe. There’s something really satisfying about knowing you’ve had a busy day but still found a way to show up for yourself and for a cause that matters. One thing this challenge is teaching me already is that consistency beats motivation every single time. Some days you’ll smash it. Some days you’ll struggle. Some days you’ll spend half the run negotiating with yourself 😂 But as long as you keep showing up, you’re winning. So Day 3 is officially in the bag. 💪 Thank you again to everyone who’s donated, shared my fundraiser, sent me encouragement, or followed along with my little running journey. Every donation is helping support young people and families facing cancer, and that’s what gets me out there every day. 30 days ago I definitely wasn’t the girl running 5Ks for fun. Now I’m voluntarily doing them daily. Character development is crazy 😭🏃‍♀️💛 #YoungLivesVsCancer #5KChallenge #Day4 #CharacterDevelopment #WeMove #Fundraising #RunningJourney #GymGirl

💛 Day 2 Update and Completed ✅💛

Tuesday 2nd Jun

Today’s run definitely tested my commitment!

The weather had other ideas, with heavy rain and thunder throughout the day, but I was determined not to let that stop me. After all, the young people and families facing cancer don’t get to pause their challenges when things get difficult.

I headed out and completed another 5K, this time exploring parts of my local area I’d never run around before. What started as a wet and slightly daunting run turned into a really enjoyable one.

I’m especially proud to say I completed the 5K in 40 minutes, which is a personal achievement for me and a reminder that every day of this challenge is helping me grow stronger.

Day 2 is officially done, and I’m feeling incredibly grateful for all the support I’ve received so far. Every donation, message, share, and word of encouragement helps keep me motivated.

Thank you for helping me support Young Lives vs Cancer and the amazing work they do for young people and families facing cancer.

On to Day 3

💛 Overwhelmed with Gratitude 💛

Monday 1st Jun

Wow.

I don't even know where to begin.

When I signed up to take on the challenge of completing 5K every day this month for Young Lives vs Cancer, I knew it would push me physically and mentally. What I didn't expect was the incredible amount of support, kindness, encouragement and generosity that would come my way from so many people.

Today was Day 1.

My goal was simple: get out the door, complete my 5K, and start the month strong.

Instead, I ended up doing nearly 9K in total — 5K running and 4K walking. Somewhere along the way I realised I was actually enjoying myself, so I just kept going. There were definitely moments where my legs were questioning my decisions, but knowing why I was doing it kept me moving forward.

This challenge isn't just about fitness, steps, kilometres, or ticking off a daily goal.

It's about supporting young people and families whose lives have been turned upside down by cancer.

Cancer is something that has touched so many of us. Whether it's a family member, a friend, a colleague, a neighbour, or someone we love dearly, most of us know the impact it can have. It affects entire families, changes futures, and asks people to find strength they never should have had to find.

That's why Young Lives vs Cancer does such important work.

They help ensure that young people facing cancer, and their families, don't have to face those challenges alone.

To everyone who has donated already, shared my fundraising page, sent me a message, wished me luck, or simply taken the time to support what I'm doing — thank you.

Thank you for believing in this cause.

Thank you for helping me make a difference.

Thank you for turning what started as a personal challenge into something that feels much bigger than just me.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps support young people and families who need it most. Every share helps spread awareness. Every encouraging message gives me that little extra push to lace up my trainers and get out there again tomorrow.

So from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Day 1 is done.

The challenge continues tomorrow.

The legs might be a little sore, but the motivation has never been higher. 💪💛

Here's to the next 29 days, countless kilometres, and one giant collective message to cancer:

Not today. 💛

Day 1 complete ✅💛

Monday 1st Jun
Started this morning aiming for 5K and somehow ended up doing nearly 9K! 5K running 🏃‍♀️ 4K walking 🚶‍♀️ I’m not going to lie, there were definitely moments where I was questioning my life choices 😂 but once I got into it, I absolutely loved it. This challenge is about so much more than the kilometres. Every step this month is for the young people and families affected by cancer, and I’m proud to be doing my small part to support Young Lives vs Cancer. One day down, plenty more to go. Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, or sent encouragement so far—it genuinely means the world. 💛 Let’s keep going! ✨ #YoungLivesVsCancer #5KEveryDay #Fundraising #Day1Complete #RunningChallenge #FuckYouC

💛 Day 1 Complete! 💛

Monday 1st Jun

What an amazing way to start my Young Lives vs Cancer 5K Challenge!

The goal was 5K, but I ended up loving it so much that I kept going and completed nearly 9K in total. 🏃‍♀️✨

I managed 5K of running and 4K of walking, which turned out to be the perfect mix. There were definitely moments where I felt tired, but getting outside, moving my body, and knowing I was doing it for such an important cause kept me going.

Every mile this month is for the young people and families facing cancer. If I can challenge myself while helping raise awareness and support, then every step is worth it. 💛

Here's to Day 1 done and many more kilometres to come. Let's do this! 💪✨

2 days to go!!

Saturday 30th May
Practicing for the 1st of June this past week has made realise the little things in life and appreciating what nature gives us.

3 days to go…4K completed today

Friday 29th May
My alarm went off at 6am this morning and, for once, I actually got straight out the door for a lovely morning run. I managed 4K today and wow… it was definitely tougher than I expected! The heat, the early start, and my legs were all testing me by the end 😂 but I’m so proud that I got it done. This challenge is all for Young Lives vs Cancer, and knowing I’m running for such an important cause makes every step worth it. 4K down, plenty more to go. Let’s goooo! 💪✨ #YoungLivesVsCancer #5KChallenge #RunningForACause #EveryStepCoun

Thursday 28th May

Starting my 5K a day for June very soon!!! 💛

Been prepping for Monday and let me tell you… 5K is definitely not for the weak 😭 Today I managed to do 4K in this heat and I’m actually so proud of myself.

This challenge is going to push me mentally and physically, but every step is for something so much bigger than me. Running for a big f*ck you to cancer and to support all the brave young lives affected by it. 🫶

We go again Monday 🏃‍♀️

✨ Running With Purpose ✨

Thursday 28th May

I’m really excited (and honestly a little nervous 😅) to be starting the 5K Challenge with Young Lives vs Cancer.

Fitness has always been something that helps me clear my mind, feel stronger, and push myself — so being able to use that energy to support such an important cause means a lot to me.

Every young person facing cancer deserves support, comfort, and the chance to still feel like a young person during such a difficult time. That’s why I wanted to take part in this challenge and do something meaningful with my miles.

Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing updates, progress, and probably some very tired post-run selfies 😂 but I’m genuinely grateful to be part of something that can help make a difference.

Every step counts 💛
